Yes I know where you are man.

Checked in on in laws and they told me about the weather today. MIl having some arthritis issues with hip so just checking in on her.

Send @Bender to some homo bar. And sneak in and get pics. Bet its like Police Academy with more tongue!

Holy shit I just wandered into a room of old dudes discussing the weather on the internet......backes out slowly.

Pearsol ? I don’t know if I’m spelling that correctly. I don’t even know where that is in relationship to anywhere else in Texas LOL, I was just told it was north of San Antonio

Ahhh, Pearsall. Someone gave you some bad location info! That's a good bit south of San Antonio - about a 3-hour drive from me.

If you decide to head north on I-35 for a way then let me know!

Usually in Austin but headed out of town. If there enough of us around here would be fun to get a SH range day on the calendar though-

There's a few Texans on the board.

Been toying with the idea of a shooter's weekend out in East TX. Roughly 3.5 hours out for anyone coming from Austin, Houston, or Dallas areas. Need a better cook than me, though, for something like that. Ain't that right, @101stinfantry ?

If you drive north on I 35 BE FUCKING CAREFUL. 98% idiots who should not have a license for anything faster than a mule. Going thru Austin, the lower deck is one of the most dangerous places Ive driven in the States. 0% common sense.

^^^That reminds me...on your way through Austin on I 35 headed south, exit Oltorf headed west, go past the school on the right to the bottom of the hill and stop at Curra's Grill also on the right.. Delicious interesting Mexican food. When I first went in there in the late 90's the brothers who own the place had a live peyote plant in the case.

In west fort worth area, pm me if coming through, outdoor ranges all flooded today.
As well as roads etc. My yard is a lake but mexican food and bbq seems to have survived.
I don't have a schedule to keep except ocasional grandpa duties.

So pretty much available.

So Pearsol is 5-6 hrs south of Fort Worth, traffic dependant. Don't know your home 20 but if you come through/near get with me.
I 35 from the north is quicker going I 35 west through fort worth than dallas by far.
Had flooding in Fort Worth and Austin today, check your routes.

I don't know where you cut south or west from ? Cheyenne but there are several 75 mph small highways west of I 35 that cut out Austin and San Antonio bs.

I go down highway 16 (1hour west of fort worth on I 20) all the time to south of Kerrville /Bandera hunting, that is just north of Pearsol.

I took lots of back roads. Came through lubbock and Snyder. Very little I35. Traffic wasn’t bad actually.

Welp, the warden just called and I got early release. I’m driving back north. I thought I would be here till Tuesday at least. The weather was actually very pleasant, it was very warm the first day but in the 60s the rest of the time I was here. I wish I had more time to explore, I drove past a nice looking rifle range just outside of town. I wish I had time to investigate. I’ll welp, the warden just called and I got early release.
