This was the best group from my first attempt at hand loading.
Best group I shot with BH262 was ~ .75" so this is an improvement already.
Sweet. Love Mod 0's .. is that one of SOCOM return uppers?

Some recent AR builds. A 6.5 Grendel with Kahles glass. A .300 Blackout with a Comp M2, and a 5.56 Spikes billet with a Geissele rail and a Comp M4s.

My fraternal twins. Yes I know the AFG is on in reverse but when you are slinging up it's quite comfortable.

Both are .223 Wylde. Both have Geissele DMR and mkIV rails, JP silent capture, Brownells nitrtie BCG. 16" is a Ballistic Advantage barrel. 20" is a WOA national match.

British SAS upper receiver group on a standard Canadian Forces (less the FA) ambi lower. Manufactured by Colt Canada (formerly Diemaco), who have only fairly recently started selling to the public.

This is straight out of the box. Made a number of changes and managed to ding the finish already. Sigh. I guess that means that I can go ahead and cover her with Aervoe, right?

Santan-15L billet receiver set hosting a stunningly turned out Bartlein 20" .224 Valkyrie barrel with 1x7 5R rifling by Craddock Precision. Nobody does better looking fluting than Craddock, in my experience. I like the way the Fortis Switch rail has generous venting, allowing the good looks of the barrel to be seen. I've set it up to run with a Thunder Beast Ultra-7 .223 suppressor. Can't get quieter, can't get lighter, can't shoot better than with a Thunder Beast. Vltor A5 recoil system, as usual, along with a Geissele NM trigger and MSTN DLC coated bolt carrier. The bolt is by J-P, in 6.8 SPC, the parent cartridge of the .224 Valkyrie. I look forward to throwing a scope on it and going shooting soon.

This handy little precision blaster is built around a custom Noveske 12.5" 1x7 SS barrel with a mid-length gas system, and topped with the new Nightforce NX8 1-8x24 optic in a Spuhr SP-3026 mount. Key components include SanTan billet receiver set, Geissele SD-3G trigger, SLR adjustable gas block, Vltor A5 recoil system, V7 titanium - everything possible, and Surefire SOCOM RC2 suppressor. How about that way-too-cool KDG quick detach M-Lok rail section? They're amazing!

There are going to be some hearts broken by this new go-fast MSTN rig with 16" Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped barrel. Mine, for one, when I have to ship it to its new owner. Then, everyone else's who sees it but doesn't own it.

How about that Battle Arms 556-LW receiver set with new RigidRail done up in Cerakote Elite Sand by Shapeshifter Finishing? It's a "chameleon color"! It tends to pick up the color of its environment.

Other things that make this rifle run: MSTN SuperLite BCG with fitted bolt, Ionbond DLC coated down to the gas rings; MSTN QC Brake by PRI; Vltor A5 recoil system with A5-H0 buffer; SLC 7S adjustable gas block; BCM 3B Gunfighter charging handle; AR' gold trigger; V Seven titanium everything.

The ultimate AR' scope, the Nightforce NX8, rides around in the ultimate AR' scope mount, the Spuhr SP-3026. Daytime bright on just setting #7 of a total of 10, this scope does it all from 1X to 8X.

What do you think of the new MSTN fitted case, just in from Patriot Cases this past week? Beats a cardboard box and yesterday's newspaper! The rifle deserves it.

Bottom quarter circle 10 5" 9mm with liberty mystic can.

Yes just do it. Seriously though That one is a 300 blk. It is my second short barreled AR. The first is an SBR so building this one was really no different other than less money spent and no wait time. I would say don't over think it quality parts and you should be good to go. Running a pistol length gas system with carbine buffer and spring. Has been flawless.

I love building 14.5" mid-length gas blasters! Here's one made for hard use, too, suppressed, with full mass DLC coated Young Manufacturing M16 weight bolt carrier plus Vltor A5-H1 recoil buffer and standard pinned Noveske gas block. Thanks to the light weight of the Noveske "Skinny" HFCL barrel, BAD 556-LW receiver set, 13.5" RigidRail, plus lotsa V Seven titanium parts, the entire weapon with Aimpoint T-2 plus empty mag weighs just a half ounce over six pounds.

Not a build, this is a factory Noveske Johnny rifle 10.5" SBR in .300BLK. It's #70 of 250. Unfired, with box, manual, certificate, all extras, etc. Cerakoted in Foliage Green and has Foliage Green furniture. Novekse marked Magpul mag, AAC 51T mount for SDN6 or similar suppressor. Selling it for $2500 to anyone interested. The other side of the receiver has a flat black "Johnny Rifle" logo and "70 of 250". There's a photo of John using one of these before he died and they were made around that time.

It's a very handy little rifle and with an MRO it's pretty nice and stays compact and light. Weighs practically nothing, very well thought out. The Keymod FF tube is very narrow but very solid and keeps the weight down even further while giving the rifle a thin profile. Keymod slots at 3,6,9 under the break apart covers. I'm sure it's as reliable and accurate as all their other stuff.

It would make one helluva patrol rifle given it's size and weight, and being a tier 1 factory rifle, it's accurate and reliable. It just has a no-nonsense simplicity that's valued in the field.

IMG_0853.JPG

Hows it going folks? This is my 224 Valkyrie build. This is a pretty budget build compared to whats available out there for 224 Valkyrie factory rifles. Anderson upper and lower, Brownells BCG, STNGR 15" hand guard, Strike Industries brake and Viper fixed stock and a CMMG 24" 1:7 barrel. With the exception of sighting in, I haven't shot it for groups yet. I wanted to get some rounds through it before I did that. I have about 200 rounds through it so far and I am pretty happy with its performance.
