2017 Off duty cop, mayor and 3 others were shot at by a local (Eric Toliver). Off-duty cop shot in the neck and paralyzed from the waste down.

2018 Eric Tolliver not indicted. However mayor and 3 others indicted for obstruction of justice.

2021 Town discusses removal of mayor. He was charged with felony burglary, conspiracy, child neglect and misdemeanor assault.

I used to live in Lewisburg in the 90's. Beautiful country but a lot of shit gets handled outside of law enforcement. Interesting reading, but I bet there is much more to it.
