The NRA Says It’s in Deep Financial Trouble, May Be ‘Unable to Exist’

It sounds more like the vile filth in NY and other government areas are actively trying to attack the ability for the NRA to do normal banking & financial processing and carry routine corporate insurance and such.

They are trying to get rid of the NRA because they understand how important the NRA is to keeping our gun rights, so they figure they do it now while Trump is in power & people don't feel threatened, then if they get another democrat in later on, the stage is set for their ultimate disarmament scheme. Enforced of course by your local wonderful police.

So a conservative refuses to sell a cake and gets his business closed.

When is New York going to be closed for interfering in a business relationship which results in an insurer refusing to sell the NRA operating insurance?

If legit this is a serious threat and a very dangerous tactic.

This is govt tyranny in living color.

If they shut down the NRA through financial maltreatment what chance does any one of us have.

1) fuck NY and every one in it.
2) fuck Rolling stone..commie terrorist loving fucks...hope they all catch aids and die.
3) the NRA has more money than god....they arent going bankrupt.
The commie states have a lot of good freedom loving people in the rural areas.

The cities are the problem. The founding fathers were prophetic

Why? Nothing is going to happen. People are stupid, so over time the nra probably will run out of money and nobody is going to do anything and in 20 years we will all still be here bitching on the internet! It takes a large group to do something, a concerted effort if you will, and so far gun owners have not been able to mobilize a front worth anything. I hate to sound like a defeatist but if we don’t drastically change as gun owners and really start fighting crap then we won’t have the right in two decades. Just because we have had some small wins here and there doesn’t mean that the enemy is not regrouping!!

Hell, I don’t know everyone’s age here but my guess is that some of you in this very thread won’t be here in 20 years which is depressing in itself but that’s for a different conversation. Whenever I try to get fellow gun owners more serious they all look at me like I’m some kind of whacko. They think things are just fine and dandy and either don’t worry about the future, don’t care and want to enjoy the now or have zero clue as to what it takes to keep such a right. Ignorance truly is bliss it would seem. Not to mention most people are lazy. Frankly, if I knew how to mobilize more people I would! Perhaps Frank should set something up. We certainly have the numbers and eyeballs on this very site.

I won't be here in 20 years. This needs to get done, like now!

I got out of NY because it was easy to see, even for a bind man, that the five boroughs of NY City were brainwashed, spoon fed, and would outvote any and all of the rest of the state in perpetuity. Some questions just don't have good answers. NY is one of them. Ballot boxes and courts can only offer a remedy when the playing field is at least vaguely near level. In NY, it's upside down, and not just NY.

NY doesn't need courts, or elections, it needs a purge. Honestly, my presence in such would be more of a hindrance than a help, so I got the hell out of the way of the more capable. It's ticking, and it won't be ticking much longer in NY. I am the rat who left the ship early, to get a better seat in the lifeboat.

I mean honestly, the provocation has gone on many times more than is reasonable.

Bah, Humbug. Nobody gets it.

Best wishes in your quest, Young Pilgrims...

Unfortunately, I’m not sure there is enough of us young ones to pull it off, but only time will tell. As I said, we need to mobilize. There are plenty of gun owners but rarely do we ever work in concerted effort.

The last time there was something cooking on that burner, it was all of about 3% who actually got off their asses and put it all on the line. The rest would make an ostrich blush.

Don't look for a crowd; there never was one, there never needed to be.

I have been thinking for years on what made the "founders" of this country have enough backbone to stand up to the most powerful nation/army in the world. Maybe when all my hair falls out and I lose my teeth I will figure it out.
The gun owning crowd, is the most segregated of all. Two people can't even agree on one thing the vast majority of the time. We are self defeating ourselves, as well as our children.

Politicians pass laws that violate the constitution, which is a felony, and we just go on about our daily lives. This seems to fall into the category of "unconstitutional". When in fact, the federal govt is ceding itself more power/authority than what law grants it. But no one seems to care. We are too busy working a job, raising kids, watching football, and dancing with the stars.

When our elected politicians grossly violate the highest laws of the land, its becomes a conspiracy, which is a group of like minded individuals acting in concert. I believe this magnitude also warrants treason being committed, which is a misplacement of trust. They all swore an oath and they all violate it.

The NRA is much more than a nonprofit defending the 2A, its business for profit. They should have billions in the bank and not be selling crap. Instead, Wayne barters our GOD given rights away. He needs to go home and let someone else lead it as well as its board members.

I can answer that for yu in one word.

France.

We laugh at the French today but were it not for their backing with General Lafayette and seasoned combat troops, and the French Navy, who cut off Cornwall's retreat at Yorktown, we would still likely be a Crown colony. Thats not to in anyway demean the valor of Washington and the American troops but we couldnt have done it alone.

France is our Oldest and most persistent friend, the UK our oldest and most persistent enemy, more than any other country.

That said, we would have still won the revolution without them. The Dutch were supporting us and the UK has a bigger war to worry about.

Yes, I couldn’t possibly explain how instrumental Washington was to the freedom of this country. If it had not been for him and the men behind him as well as the French we would most certainly not have become the nation we are today. Washington was brilliant and is a man that continues to fascinate me today. Seriously, if you don’t know how pivotal Washington was in creating this nation I urge you to do some reading on him!

New York could be taken in 15 days... Some friends and I had a sand-table about how it would be done. 15 days. Would take less than a Battalion.

Noone on 'our' side is going to start anything. But if the three percent get mobilized... the whole NY swamp is 9 meals (three days) away from totally being destroyed. Traffic arteries. Power Lines. Water reservoir connections. Gas lines. Islands (Manhattan and LI) become more untenable than Fort Sumter. In fact, they destroy themselves in 100 hours.

Greg... you are 100 percent right. The good news is that when and/or if events get started... NYC is easy! So is the entire Eastern Seaboard. We had a big sand-table!

Cheers,

Sirhr

I figure when I need to pay billionaires to keep firearms I've already lost. I only have to survive the first wave of stupid fucks who can't tell their bosses no and have no worries about going home at night. If it ever did kick off, there's enough people like me to secede and form our own country.

NYC is literally 24 hours from total collapse. Seriously.

What am I missing?

Im quite aware of Washington's contribution. He is the only President elected unanimously ...TWICE... and they named the capital after him. Read

Maybe so. But we bailed France out twice. I call it even Steven.

For bonus points, remember the quote:
"He stepped to the window and pointed to the skyscrapers of the city. He said that we had to extinguish the lights of the world, and when we would see the lights of New York go out, we would know that our job was done."

That quote tends to make people feel a bit nervous...

You guys are missing the point. Everyone is speaking about "after the fact" that we declared our independence. What I am referring to is what lead us up to that point. Everyone points to Thomas Payne's book common sense. There was a movement created, only then did our founders decide to act upon it.

Don't say the Tea Party, tax stamps, quartering troops. Our federal gov't has done much more than England ever did to us......but yet "we" do nothing about it. What is happening now...well happened back then also.....but yet we do nothing. What I am asking is back then someone created a movement and they acted upon it. Where can we find this ?

Today someone could write a book, which we would all read...."that was a great book" then go right back to watching football....or bitching on net forums. It takes something very powerful to move ones soul...knowing it may cost ones life. We have lost this.

The fed govt is not going to go backwards. Nations evolve, not devolve into how it started out. We the people were never supposed to let it get this far. everyone here knows if he did anything....the fed govt would squash you like a bug.

Eeespecially, when u read A.R.'s comments on the evils of statism and their use of force on free men.... and especially when you look at the "systems" she considered statist.... all those condemned today by cognizant snipershiders....
And supported by the elites in nyc... she recognized the enemy very early on... a prophet of her time, speaking to us today.

Knowing they are going to take your life can make u a determined bug, like bubonic plague.., ebola........ or worse....
And you can stack bodies outside your mlr like countless Americans b4 you....

You decide.... they can have me, but its gonna come at a high cost.....

Some of the older hiders here got nothing left to lose......

And have the mindset to be a very deadly bug..... and are...

Nobody has tried to exterminate them yet, and then it's on.

I have much to lose materially, but freedom is worth more than any worldly possession or any level of wealth. And I am old, yes.

Things can be replaced, people can't.

Commitments like I'm hearing bandied about here are gut wrenchers for those of us with descendants; they are our hostages to fortune. All conflicts are trade-offs. Good people get traded off, not just the participants. The blood of patriots is not just a catchy phrase, it's red, sticky, and worth more than its weight in any precious metal, with the most precious often being lead.

For the want of a nail, or a cartridge, things get won or lost; and I'm not taking about craps, I'm talking about lives and liberties.

My granddaughter wanted my copy of The Patriot with Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger. She played it every day after school for several weeks, and then told me, "I get it now, Grampy". She wanted to return it, but I told her I'd already replaced it, and the one she had was hers. Small price to pay...

She is the best of us, and like most of us started out, she leans toward the Progressive. That's OK, she'll get the rest of it all soon enough, just like I did. For me, it happened when I became a head of household with offspring (her Mom) in the mix. I'm pretty sure that's when she'll get the rest of it, too.

When we fear for our descendants, and allow that to deflect our intentions, we sell them short. We allow others to cow us, and in that moment, we take away those options our own very capable descendants need in order to improvise, adapt, and overcome. Bow not, it's those descendants best chance at success that derives when we stand tall and defiant. We make our beds and sleep in them so our descendants can have lives where they can rest in their own beds safe and easy.

I know not what others may do, and honestly, I don't care either. I have my own values to follow, and they tend to be uncommon ones.

And I'm also old.

So be it.

Greg

Sending money to, and counting on, NRA is not good enough. All who have an interest to protect must participate directly. Those many voices becoming one will hold sway, and effectively wield more power than NRA could muster.

This requires discipline and effort beyond what most are willing to produce because they assume those interests are being defended. Piss poor assumption. Check the scoreboard.
