We hear all the time that this rifle is a c prefix or another. Can somebody explain this whole situation to me and tell me which prefix's are premium and which should be avoided? Thanks in advance.

So does that mean my 6217XXX was made in 1968?? Is there somewhere online where I can find out more about my rifle? I tried Remington's website, but I didnt find anything particular with the serial #s to tell me what exactly I have.

Thanks

Call Norma O'steen @ Remington-(336)548-8899. She used to be the historian there but I think works in another division. Good luck,

No, it means it was made sometime after 11-26-1968, probably in 69 or 70
