The spread of socialism in America. Spread? It's already here, people.

Saw a guy running to his car the other day after the Capital was stormed. I said, what's up? Everything ok? He said, no, we have to stop the socialist Biden and Harris from getting into the Whitehouse
.
Socialist Biden and Harris? The country is already socialist, I wanted to say but he was in a hurry to act like one them idiots who doesn't know what country he lives in and doesn't really know what the term "socialist" means.

Tax breaks for children, stimulus checks for children even though they don't pay taxes (why should someone who has five kids and a wife get $4200 stimulus and I only $600, they are the ones who use all the services with the use of public schools and health care? Socialism? Communism, perhaps!). That's seven people to my one using the roads, any infrastructure, you name it. But I'm the one who gets the $600 and they, six of them who don't even pay taxes, get $4200. Practically fucking communism with such large financial dispensation disparities. That;s $3600 more than I and they don't even work! They are not even paying taxes!

Tax breaks for children? Really? We need to make it financially feasible to have a child? No we don't. That is ridiculous. They don't even have food in Ethiopia and they have babies drooping off of their arms everywhere, half of them dying. Financial incentives to have children, ridiculous when they are the ones using all of the services, public schools, health care, you name it.

Sex is fun, bro. No need for a tax break. Instead, stop deconstructing attempts by the middle classes to maintain the wealth they earned by keeping interest rates so low it stimulates the hell our of inflation on anything you need a loan to purchase such as a house or other big ticket items. Shack down the road was going for $25000 in 2009. Now it is selling for $180000! It is shack by the railroad tracks, people, come on!

50 percent on annual average now of US children born out-of-wedlock with mothers going on government programs to pay the $35000 it costs to bear a child and the annual cost of $45000 to raise the child, and raising their kids till their 18th birthday on government programs. 50% of children! Why, it pays more to go on government checks than to marry a guy who will earn wages that have been stagnant for 50 years (That's the Republicans behind that, friend, are they socialist?). Certain tax payers not having to pay any income taxes because of a tax code that favors them over the middle classes (Republicans). Bro, you should have been calling everyone comrades by now, already. We already live in a socialist country.

Just look at the urban areas. Just look at the tax code!

If Republicans are telling you Biden and Harris are socialist it is only because they don't want you to see their own transgressions against the tax payer!

It is just finger pointing. I didn't want to tell him as he was running to his car that he was just being used but you can't fix it.

I was just talking to a buddy from Seattle. They have a tax of 10% every time you buy a home. Now theyre talking abut addin a 10% tax when you sell. so the total taxes on a 500K home turn out to be 100K. Add on the yearly personal property tax.

Sales tax? 10%

I wonder how many people will be moving to Seattle?

There are frequent discussions on sites like Quora whether xyz country is socialist or not. It is all a matter of definition and semantics.

The key question is whether the collective and the governing entity serves the individual or the other way around.

For example: My big issue with health care reform is whether .gov becomes the single payer or not. That's where you cross over into the totalitarian realm.

Side note: It sucks that Obamacare punishes you for producing but the cost the takers incur need to be born anyway. If they get free treatment at the point of care then that's going to be tagged onto your bill by the care giving entity.

What really irks me most about Obamacare is that you still get punished for being self employed.

Good points about socialized medicine and that is what they scare everyone with, "Do you really want socialized medicine?"

I have a better solution. Prior to Reagan and Nixon the medical profession and related businesses were "regulated." Back then parents could afford to buy their own health care and pay their own doctor's bills. Then, Reagan deregulated health care and now it is bankrupting the sick because we have huge HMO's and so forth where nobody provides any actual health care, they just do billing or administration and their numbers are ever growing while doctor's and nurses are being squeezed.

Go back to when health care was properly regulated to control things like advertising costs (how much of that pill that you just took is wrapped up in the cost of $100,000,000 big pharma advertising campaigns, something they weren't allowed to do prior to deregulation. That list of what was deregulated includes all kinds of things that weren't in the cost equation prior to deregulation but that are not related to actually administering health care. And guess what, the American public can't afford it for the most part on their own anymore. What happened?

Republicans and Democrats fear regulation more than anything and they will always throw the "Socialism" fear thing at you when it comes up. It is time to re-regulate health care.

Don't know if that is off of my original subject, but that's my take on socialized medicine. It isn't necessary. Just regulate it properly. But regulation you will find is what they fear the most. It is easier to just attach yourself to the government trough and feed on the public like a lamprey. Medicare and Medicaid weren't created because people didn't get health care. They were created to make sure the medical bills were paid and they have both been the constant subject of misappropriation of funds or over charging, regularly, it is part of a business plan. It has to be.

They are prepared to offer you socialism, though. Guess who is donating to their campaigns? Just saying. Regulate, don't socialize.

It's not socialism when "I" get it.
I call that "selective socialism." It is what the members of The Politburo were afforded. Only the powerful in a socialist or communist country will get the dachas in the countryside to escape to when the bombs fall.

Why commit suicide over it? Don't take it out on yourself! That's what they want you to do.

Man, I forgot to check the photo, LOL. That wasnt for me, Im from Virginia, but I bet the ones getting stuck think about it.

Funny - I'm 68 years old and it was NOT regulated when I was young.

Of course, Medicare didn't exist then, when Medicare started medical care started increasing in cost at multiples of the inflation rate.

Regulation is needed.

Two hospital visits and two bills-

-My buddy near Miami recently went in for an emergency appendectomy, got a ride so no ambulance needed. Cost, over $100,000. Fairly minor procedure he was out the same day.

-I went in for a total hip replacement here in Virginia, Total cost +/- $30,000. Major procedure, I spent one night in the hospital.

We're both about the same age and it was covered by Medicare and a supplemental. Im not a doctor but it would seem a hip replacement is a much more involved procedure and should cost more. Correct me if Im wrong.

New York Times - there's a highly reliable source of bullshit if there ever was one.
Well yeah but I just picked the first when doing a search. There are many more.

If you are wondering what socialized medicine is really like, take a stroll through any VA hospital.

Well, that's not entirely accurate because the population that attends VA hospitals is completely different than the population that uses civilian hospitals. I've been in one recently to see a friend here in Wisconsin. It is a beautiful building and everything is totally clean all the time, seriously. Zablocki VA in Milwaukee, WI. It is a very nice facility and they saved a guy's life I know, so, I get it but it isn't always the case.

If all these people on the left want free college and socialized medicine they should just join the military, who knows once they did their time they might end up loving their country.

I agree. Friend of mine was in The US Army and now his health care is also covered by The VA and he had his Master's Degree paid for by the State of Wisconsin since he went to a state university. $75000 for a Masters Degree and it was paid for!

People don't want to risk it, though. It's easier to just get pregnant out-of-wedlock and get a government check for the rest of your life and live together but never get hitched.

When 35 to 50 percent of babies are born that way you know it isn't just an accidental night on the town. Women are doing it on purpose with those numbers, they are all doing it (pun not intentional but it kind of falls into place).

And the single male is the country's tax surrogate designed through the tax code to pay for all of the sexual proclivities of a nation, married sex (tax break for children, stimulus for children), single women, tax breaks, government checks, stimulus checks. Pays better than a decent job in some states.

There is more "vote for me I'll give you the other guy's money" going on in politics than ever before, too.
