1st time across the bridge was in 81. On the way back to the Ship from playing on Magsaysay there was a pile of broken concrete hollow blocks and rocks. The shit river queens were out in force with their little banca boats and dresses with their mesh screens to catch the Peso's. Accidentally dropped a chunk of hollow block through the bottom of a boat after entertaining ourselves lobbing Peso's over their heads making them reach out for'm to try and gettem to fall outta the boat. I blame that alleged activity on the pitchers of Mojo..............

I worked in live sewers and had used condoms and tampons floating by. But I was fortunate enough to be able to use a shovel rather than my hands, and didn't have to dive under it... I was able to get by with rubber boots, and by keeping my mouth shut stayed reasonably safe. It doesn't stink as much as most people expect, but it is a long shot from pleasant. The guys in the videos posted above really have my sympathy...I had it easy compared to them.

We used to run through drain tunnels and sewers as kids! Shortcut across the city and it was cooler. They weren't piss and shit sewers though. Still nasty enough.
