So it is about time I bite the bullet and buy one. Looking for advice from those who are in the know.
My budget is $3,500.
My main priorities are image quality and battery life unless it can take AA batteries. Beyond that I really do not care if it has onboard recording, WiFi, Bluetooth or anything else.
It must be able to be used as a handheld unit as well as weapon mounted. Not sure if they make them but a clip on would be great.
No idea on magnification range but because it will be used to look for wildlife inside of 100 yards nothing too high of a magnification.
I will never hunt anything beyond 250 yards. Being able to locate, not identify, a large animal/person/car at 500 yards would be great.
Another option would be a handheld thermal and a decent NV scope.
Thanks
