So resigning under sexual harassment charges... the uber-libtard 9th Circuit (the refuge of all the leftist decisions) now has 5 open seats for Trump to fill... with two more about to open up with retirements in 2018.

Trump can change the 9th Circuit from one of the most liberal courts in the nation... into one of the most conservative. WINNING!!

Cheers,

Sirhr

I actually stopped listening to democrats and republicans in black robes when Roberts allowed Obama to try to enslave us under threat of death by medical denial. Fuck the judicial complex, I dont care who they appoint, anyone with a JD is not qualified to be a judge, they have been indoctrinated to undermine the actual Constitution they swear to uphold. Judges can do what they want I am going to do what I want.

^^^ This. The reason there are law books... is to look up the crap that is first year law school stuff.

When I work on a car I have the manual open. I don't do it from memory. When I load a .308.. I have my data book open. I don't go by memory.

This was a simple hit-job. Now every judicial candidate will have to bone up on arcane first year law school civics crap. Because from now on, this will be the litmus test for a witch-hunting bunch of confirmation senators...

Cheers,

Sirhr

One two term President cannot end the Republic. Obama was counting on Hillary to be the one to stick a fork in American Liberty. Funny thing how those pesky American Voters got in the way of their coup.

A lawyer friend of mine posted on Facebook that two questions that Matthew Peterson could not answer were in regard to "Daubert" and a motion of Lemine.

Dauber Standard-
A Motion of Limineis a motion, discussed outside the presence of the jury, to request that certain testimony be excluded. The motion is decided by a judge in both civil and criminal proceedings. It is frequently used at pre-trial hearings or during trial, and it can be used at both the state and federal levels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_in_limine

Peterson has neither tried a jury trial nor argued a case in federal court. He was unable to speak to how a judge would deal with admissibility of evidence in a trial. If you want to be a judge, these seem to be things you should know.

I also keep a manual out when I reload, but I don't need it to tell me that I need to weigh powder charges or that some powders are unsuitable for the cartridge I am loading. The questions above are not esoteric trivia bits only the front row students in freshman law courses remember. These are "So you wanna be a judge? 101" questions.

I'm not sure that a lifetime appointment to a federal district court is the right place to be sporting training wheels and elbow pads as a judge.

It should also be noted that Senator John Kennedy, who was leading the questioning, is a republican. Not exactly a DNC hit job...

I have to agree with hlee on this one and sirhrmechanic . it probably was a hit job. But it would be prudent to look into a person's history rather than slam dunk a confirmation.

My college/mechanic traning was only about 10% on how to repair vehicles. Other 90% was actually on how to read a service manual and were to find the information to make needed repairs. So i truly do understand that point.

With that i would think that to be a federal judge you should have at least some experience inside a court room.

I have known, and i am sure most here have also known, someone who is "book smart" but dumber that a box of rocks when they try to apply the information in their head.

I had to change oil and rotate tires for 2 years after college before i could do a brake job on a vehicle. Frustrating when someone has a bunch of papers but no experience and is pushed up the line just because of those papers.

My $0.02. Take it for what it is worth.

It was obvious the guy didn't know his shit and was unfit. It was obvious the guy was trying to throw him softballs too.

My wife has a friend that's an esoteric specialist lawyer. She can't do and doesn't understand shit about anything else apparently and hasn't been able to help us. Ever. For even the most basic shit.

It sounds like this guy is that type. She'd be about as qualified as this guy and would have answered the questions exactly the same as him I imagine.
