College Students Oppose Obama Remarks When Told They're From Trump
Did college students give President Trump's State of the Union address a fair chance? Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips talked to students at New York City's John Jay College, reading them quotes from Trump's address. What the students didn't know was that the lines were actually taken from some of former President Barack Obama's addresses. The students were given quotes (from Obama) about going after ISIS and countering China on trade. But most were opposed to the ideas when they thought they were coming from Trump. "He doesn't think before speaking," one responded. "The way he approaches things is very aggressive," another argued. "He should mind his own business and focus on America," a student

Just remember this is NOT all colleges. I teach Political Science at one of the best 2 year colleges in the country. It is a shame that our major universities are moving more and more to a side that does not reflect true education. Gladly, i do not work for a college like that.

Im guessing you put some solid values into him/her. Whats the saying "Raise up a child in the way and he will not leave it." (Paraphrased)
Guess we'll find out. She's been exposed to the marxists for the last few yrs being dual enrolled during HS, but she hasn't been 3+ hrs away.

ive found the field of study play a big impact on the mindset of the students (or the mindset of the students has a big impact on their chosen field of study)

all of my students are in STEM majors, focusing primarily on Mechanical engineering....and while some of them may be sharp as marbles....very few of them are what ide call "liberal".

a good portion of my students are former MIL, or enrolled in ROTC...and i see more "TRUMP" and firearms stickers on their laptops than i see hippy shit........and more than one of them has asked me for help designing firearms and asked for help understanding ballistics.

generally avoid the bullshit majors, and stick to a degree that will be useful in getting you a job, and your exposure to the commies is relatively small.

just yesterday i had a student ask me how to model "threading" in 3d......i looked at his model and he was threading the inside of a pipe......that was 22" long.......and had an ID of 7.62mm.....i looked at him and was just like......"oh.....by threading, do you by chance mean 'rifling'....".........he kind of dodged the answer until i asked him what weight of projectile he was using so i could put in the appropriate twist rate, hahaha

    Good post.

Philosophy aint one of those useful in getting a job, but applied wisely it teaches you to think outside the bo which ultimately is far more valuable than buying into the system..

One of my classmates was a SF guy who after a particularily harsh deployment in AStan got an free Army ride through UVA to get a degree in Philosophy because there weret any History teaching positions at West point. Intersting fellow wit some hair raising stories.
