The Sig has a proprietary rail, come on really. I imagine average picatinny accessories will clamp on, how well not sure. They sure as hell won't slide on from the front (without modification).

Their goal was a specific width.
A pic rail is wider than the pistol is.
They make a light and a laser that do not increase the width of the pistol.
Very few folks use the pic rails anyway.

So what if they have fantasies that .380 has a lot of stopping power. It's a great caliber... so is a .32 Auto.
No matter what, a Carry Pistol comparison is WAYYYY better than what the hairy-bagpipe-players are touting at CNN!

I carry a 380 on the weak side most times an as primary in some venues. Anyone that thinks it's a wimp gun is welcome to absorb two Underwoods loaded with Lehigh bullets. I did a test before I started messing with a 380, an the secondary wound channel using Underwoods has to be seen to be believed.
I carry nothing but Underwood ammo in any pistol I carry now. The 40 S&W with Underwood ammo for self defense, well you have to see it first hand., an it's mostly barrier blind!

Your .380 is my offside 9x18 CZ 83. Undersung, but not undergunned, for sure, in a diminutive package.
Well .380 has got three numbers so that must be more than say a .45 or .40 with only two numbers. Like .335 and .340 bigger respectively.

Carried a true Russian mak for years as primary, never cleaned it in over 7500rd of wolf/silver bear it never failed to go bang. I never felt undergunned while carrying it. I've used the 380 w/Underwoods while testing on Yotes/Coon/Armodillo an never needed a follow up to date. Most people think they need a tank to kill a deer, when it reality we killed them long ago with 22lr's. Gunfights are the same way, it's not what you hit them with, it's were you hit them at.
Same thing with .30 Carbine and some of the Underwood/Lehigh stuff that's come out fairly recent... makes for a nasty little weapon.
I wouldnt stand in front of one of those Star Trek pistols that shoot plastic yellow BBs either but that doesnt mean its my defensive pistol choice.
.380 and .25 are fine calibers if that is what you have at hand and need it.
but....I would not ever describe them the way the author did.
A pistol itself is a poor choice for a defense weapon regardless of caliber but until rifle carry is acceptable Ill stick with something concealable and appropriate to my ability to handle the round and as weather dictates the clothing to conceal it.
At my monthly banana thong meeting a .25 may just be the appropriate choice.
Use to carry a 21a in 22lr on the weak side. A buddy use to rag me about it all the time until, one night he was mouthing about it an I was done with his shit. I grabbed his hair an quickly pulled his head backwards while drawing the weapon an stuck it up his nose an ask if he thought he would survive if I pulled the trigger 7 times. He never ragged me about it again. Was/is it a offensive weapon no it's not, but underestimating anyone no matter their weapon of choice could prove fatal.
Having been in a gunfight or two I will tell you when done right, it's over before the other side knows it's began. Perception vs reality is a mind fuck to those who only dream about what they think they will do in a gunfight. It never goes like you think it will, an that's bankable!
