I stumbled across this this afternoon, and got a good chuckle. Most tow truck companies I have had the displeasure of dealing with are on the verge of criminal . They are opportunistic bottom feeders, who deserve to have to crawl over every single impediment that can be placed between them and their fees. Enjoy!

Graham, the MSN article says that no company has to accept more than 100 pennies. If that's the case, could someone pay their bills with nickels instead of pennies? And wouldn't a company have to have a written policy statement saying that they don't accept coins for bill payment if they're not going to accept coins? As in, they couldn't create an ad hoc policy on the spot since a customer in good faith wouldn't have known their policy?

There seems to be a lot of loopholes in this law, and while the deed is sophomoric, I do appreciate the frustration with bullshit taxes and fines.

I remember seeing a man, in California I think, pay his $14k tax bill with a wheelbarrow full of change. I would think if it's legal tender they'd have to take it. Otherwise, what's to stop them from saying "I'll only take a night with you daughter as payment?"
