Movie Theater Thomas Sowell: Common Sense in a Senseless World

If you haven't seen it, the Uncle Tom series is a great documentary. It's essentially based on Sowell's work, especially how "authentic inner city black culture" is just an offshoot of old southern redneck culture. Lots of #walkaway stories of how democrats are purposely harming blacks.

Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams were the best guests and guest hosts Rush Limbaugh ever had on, even ~30 years ago.
Liberty vs the Tyranny of Socialism was incredibly prescient for the next 15 years after it's release. Easy writing and reading style chock full of life lessons, observations and foresight that was unfortunately spot on. Dang I miss Rush I had his show playing every day in the background while working, on the road you name it. Sigh.

I watched it all the way till the end , very interesting, I'll have to buy some of his books . Great the way he became a conservative after working for the government and seeing 1st hand how fucked up it can get.

After reading the first several post in this thread, I bought Thomas Sowells book Social Justice fact and fallacies, thought I was getting a hard copy nope, down loadable version, anyway started reading last night ,24 pages in , damn good stuff , especially for a dumbass redneck like me , not as hard a read as I was expecting, highly recommend.

I have not seen that video but I have read a number of his books. I started with "Black Rednecks and White Liberals." I read his book on basic economics. That should be required reading whether children go to public school, private school, or home school.

yes,his book on race "Black rednecks, white liberals" details the behavior of the low class white southern culture which the blacks adopted in the late 19th,early 20th. he traces it back to a specific area in GB that those original v.low class whites came from. his conclusions are very similar to those of theodore dalrymple in his documentation of the destruction of brit culture by their welfare state

Yes, redneck was an english term, usually to describe how the working man's neck gets red from working in the sun as a laborer. And yes, those whites and blacks growing up in the South, some aspects of redneck behavior the blacks really to a liking to. Such as honor culture. And, for some, promiscuity.

Pre Johnson only made that worse.
