Those who think this is funny should consider how they will feel when their sister or daughter has to share a locker room and compete with men.
That all depends on the culture and society and norms at the time, which group of people it is. Unified bathing, washing and changing has been standard for thousands of years across many different races and cultures. Other cultures developed religious based hangups which persisted.
However all sane civilizations (which ours is fast becoming not one), did tend to realize that there are differences in physical abilities between male and female bodies and usually had most females compete between themselves in skills involving strength and speed in order to not exclude them from meaningful participation (and then of course there were the rare females who gained renown for being able to beat the men at their own games). Some things which primarily need skill, intelligence or agility don't need segregation, some things men need their own group to have a chance at winning.
The whole separate bathrooms, showers, lockers etc was our current version of judeo/christian themed religious dogma being applied and trying to be nice and "gentlemanly" to the woman as the supposed weaker / fairer sex, as well as religious based taboos about sex and being ashamed of your body.
Since the Communists and SJWs found their first and most vocal allies in these "Feminists", I'm not going to shed any tears for "women" if those same Communists and SJWs they in large part supported now strip away some of the convenient feel good protections that they have come to be used to.
Welcome to Communism.... Communists preach "Women's rights" right up until they take power... then the women find they are the same worker slaves that everybody else is and their requests for special treatment are denied. (Or worse... if you know anything about living with real Communists, male or female, you hope the Commissar is a male....)
