Thoughts on Field Optics Research FT6841C

What are you guy's thoughts on the Field Optics Research FT6841C tripod as a more economical option for those that can't spring for an RRS?

Sorry if this has been asked. My google-fu is weak.

Does no one have experience? Or is there somethin hinky about these that I missed?

Not a clue... But I looked it up, it doesnt seem horrible, the weight rating is good at 77lbs. If you can lose the center column and install a quality leveling base it may work, but now you're a test pilot with something unproven. If you wanna save some $$ over the RRS, go with the Feisol 3372 and be done. Decent price and lots of guys are using them. Ive had mine over a year and love it, stable and well built.
