Thoughts on reloading 338 LM with H50BMG?

I have worked up a couple of nice loads with both H869 and H1000 using 300gr Berger VLD Elite Hunter and 300gr Lapua Scenars and I am looking to build a load around the Bergers and H50BMG. I have not found any solid reference for H50BMG for 338, other than Hodgen's online manual listing it as applicable for Magnum rifles, like it does for H869.

If it matters, I am looking at H50BMG because I would like more power commonality for the rifles I reload for. If H50bmg performs well, it is just one less thing I have to think about when buying powder.

Rifle Specs:
Rifle is a DTA SRS with the 26" with 1 in 10" Twist
Using Fed 215 Primers and Lapua Brass.

So, my question to you all any good starting point or reference for H50BMG in a 338 LM, or any other words of wisdom regarding this topic.

h869 is supposed to be great in the 50 and that was my original purpose for it. but I really liked h50bmg and never ended trying the h869 until the 338 came along. until I shoot though my stock of 50's I probably won't try a new powder work up on the 50.

Thhe other thing is that h50bmg is an "extreme powder", which is appealing to me, where the h869 is not.

Your thoughts about having one powder for everything are a nice thought but that is about it. H-50BMG is too slow IMO for the 338Lapua and H-US869 is even slower than that. I would be interested to know what your loads are that you are using with H-US869? Are you filing the case completely full? What is your velocity?

H-1000 is perfect for the Lapua, I would say stay with that and not worry about having to order 2 powders instead of just one.
