Thoughts/suggestions on my rifle build?

I am having Chris at Aquila firearms put a rifle together and thought I would run it past you guys to see if anyone had any advice or if I left anything out. Rifle will be used for long range target shooting and I may use it for hunting every now and again in Central Oregon. Specs are as follows: Remington 700 .308 blueprinted with bushed bolt, B&C 2094, Rock 5R 1:11.25 M24 contour, Badger knob and heavy recoil lug, Timney trigger @2.5 lbs, and possibly a Badger FTE. Nightforce NXS for optic, Harris bipod in front, Accu-Shot in rear. Thanks for the advice in advance.

Don't skimp on the stock. If you are going to dump that much in a build already you might take a look at a few other manufacturers.

Not saying that your stock choice is crap, just saying that while it is fully adjustable, IMO you can do better in the qulity dept, that is all. YMMV.

Thank you for the suggestion. I understand what you are saying about the B&C, I held one and liked the feel of it so decided to take a chance. If it doesn't work out I will end up with a Manners, but figured I'd give it a chance, besides with the price I paid I should be able to get out from under it if needed without to much sting. Thank you!

What color? You do know that a bright orange finish can and will make the rifle shoot and handle better don't you? Are you gonna duck tape the nf on the action or are you gonna buy one of them base thingies? Then i'd have to ask about rings! Tasco make's a kick a$$ tactical ring.... Saw them at Wallet World da other day and if I had my "Government check" cashed i'd be rollin tight!!!

Moof-I noticed you are funny…good work. I'm actually kind of partial to Duracoat's hot pink, and I figure I can Guerilla Glue my NF on to my action. Mattew- no I have not employed Chris before, read some good stuff about him and liked his sales pitch.

Your build discription seems a little heavy if you want to take this rifle hunting and carry it. Instead of an M24 contour, I would look at the heavy sporter or Sendero contour as the heaviest contour I would use, and you could even go lighter depending on barrel length. You are not going to give up anything in accuracy. I know your focus is on target shooting, but I think by choosing the right barrel contour, you can enjoy both.

Bluejazz-thank you for your recommendation...I am considering getting in on the Surgeon group buy which will change quite a few of my decisions on this build. Thanks again everyone for your input.

Making a decision and sticking to it has been all but impossible to me on my first custom rifle...I'm not even sure at this point what the word budget means. Hopefully I figure it all out and get it together within the next few weeks. Thanks again!
