Thougths on LRB M25 reciver

Re: Thougths on LRB M25 reciver

They are almost as good (dimensionally correct) as Norinco and Poly Tech M14 receivers. The proprietary scope rail mounting system that the M25 offers looks nice, but you can never change/reconfigure it.

Here's a rifle we had GAP build a couple years ago on an LRB receiver.

Why would you ever <span style="font-style: italic">want</span> to change it?

The rail itself is removable -- remove the screws and drift it out. In theory LRB was going to make a variety of mounts for it, but in practice ... they just got it right the first time.

Re: Thougths on LRB M25 reciver

If a guy is going to build a scoped M14-style rifle from scratch the LRB M25 is really the only way to go. It does away with all of the previous scope mounting problems that were pretty much inherent in the standard receiver no matter who built it. If you're gonna spend your money - might as well do it right!

I've had my LRB M14SA since April 2005. Had it built to visually clone a VN-era GI M14 as closely as possible, and I love it. Before this one I owned a Polytech M14S and five S.A. Inc M1A's of different varieties. Believe me when I say that there's no comparison.
