Gunsmithing Throat length help needed for 30-06

I do not have a great understanding on how to measure the throat length for a new reamer. The two possible bullets to be used are a Hornady 30 cal 208 eld match or a Berger 30 cal 200-20 match bullet. Obviously I only want only the boattail seated below the neck. Suggestions please.

Google 30-06 Serengeti. One nice thing about a 30-06 is the long neck. That Serengeti reamer and the long neck length of the case should work well for about any bullet.
