I acquired an old Sako AV which had been re-barreled in .260 Rem. I have no knowledge of the rifle before I got it in Feb. 2012.
The rifle seems to shoot well. It will shoot 1" groups at 100 yds with consistency - I am not a great marksman, and I have only fired about 50 rounds through it. With work, it (not me) may be a really good shooter.
My question is the following: It takes a lot of effort to push a 6.5mm phosphor bronze brush through the bore. So, I have taken to using a .25 brush, and this works a lot better. Is it common for some barrels to be very tight? I don't have enough experience with center-fire rifles to know.
Thanks for your help. George
