Looking for some info about the KRG Bravo stock for a Tikka T1X 22 LR. other than comfort and adj comb, does it shoot any better that the OEM stock, i am currently deciding whether to give the KRG Bravo stock a shot to see if it will enhance my groups off the bench at 50yds. i am currently in the .3"s with SK Pistol Match approx 60 to 70% of the time. is the stock worth a try can anyone attest that accuracy was improved or not, other route i am thinking over buying a stock is trying a new Anshutz 1761 22 LR, never saw one. but hope it is a step above the 64 MPR

I'd say if the current stock is not wobbly with the bipod attached it will not provide you with more accuracy.

But if you get improved ergonomics you will be able to keep size groups small for longer period and also shooting is more enjoyable.

not into bipods, we shoot regular benchrest front and rear set up, same as the centerfire br shooting

The factory OEM stocks shouldn't affect accuracy. I agree with the other poster that it's just about comfortability and adjustability to get behind the scope exactly the right way. I'd consider the $10 spring and lower the trigger to 1lb if you're aiming to get the tiniest groups possible on paper.

There might be other stocks that are more stable on your front/rear rest setup. I'm sure the heavier the setup, the better as well.

You can also upgrade to an IBI Win52d barrel for $325.

And if you do not feel any fatigue on your shooting sessions I do not see any problem with the current setup.

But I would also point out that heavier rifles can print smaller groups. But stocks do not add so much after all.

My T3x is in a Bravo and my T1x is still in OEM stock. No accuracy improvements unless you get into PRS/NRL style matches... Bravo far more ergonomic and solid shooting off barricades etc thus im in the market for T1x Bravo. I did swap out factory grip to the vertical version they make for T3x and that made it much more comfortable to shoot for $20

As others have said in a bench rest situation I don’t think you will see a difference in accuracy. The Bravo is just much more comfortable to shoot. I tried the factory stock briefly and it just wasn’t comfortable to me. Now in a situation like NRL/PRS style matches the Bravo will make a big difference. The Bravo will not deflect and touch your barrel when using a bipod and it is going to be a lot more stable on barricades and obstacles. You will probably want a lighter spring though. I was able to get my factory trigger down to 1 1/2 lbs but that isn’t light enough for a lot of bench rest guys. For positional shooting though I think 1 1/2-2 lbs is about right.

i did add a tuner to my rifle other than a trigger spring, i am going to machine a 3" wide by 9" long aluminum plate for under the forend so i can use a my 3" wide bench rest setup

just completed the 3" front plate mod to my tikka oem stock. hope it shows a bit more consistency in groups and maybe tighter.
