Tikka T3 CTR--'Scout' series....what happened?

I have the T3 CTR in .223 and damn if that thing isn't an incredible out of the box shooter. For my 1st bolt rifle, I really am pleased (Manners T4A on the way!)

I was thinking about the .308 version, as I've had such good luck with the .223. Unless I'm missing something...they seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. There aren't even on the Tikka site anymore. Bud's & EuroOptic...like they were never there.

I only got my .223 a year ago...what happened to these guns?

Yeah, apparently they got discontinued. I just watched one on Gunbroker go for nearly 1000 dollars which is STUPID because you could buy a regular T3 and have it rebarrelled with a custom barrel for that.

If Tikka/Sako would get their act together, Tikka could really impact the US market and make themselves a lot of money, but I don't think its going to happen. The new sporter to me was a step in the wrong direction... especially for the price.

Tikka's are awesome its to bad the selection isn't better here in the states, I just had a .308 rebarreld to a 6.5 creedmoor. It would have been nice to have the option of buying the .260 or 6.5 from Tikka.
