Been working on my tikka 7mag for awhile now was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me? I have a bell Carlson stock and a tikka performance rail with a Barska Extreme Swat Tactical scope so far.

It would be nice to know what your requirements are with this rifle. Making an assumption and only an assumption, seeing it's a T3 lite in 7mmag, it’s not a tactical rig and it's a bit much for being a paper puncher so I’m betting something you’re using it for deer, elk and/or hogs.

1+ on getting rid of the Barska as well as scope rail. Warne makes two sets of rings to use the integrated scope rail which are outstanding. I use the Warne quick detachable rings on my Tikka’s and my boys use the Warne non-quick detachable rings. The Bell & Carlson stocks are very good. Depending on your requirements will help define your scope requirements. Barska is pretty cheap stuff with poor glass, if the budget is tight there are a number of high quality low end scopes such as Leupold VXII, Vortex, Nikon and this could go on.

Give us something to go on to better help you out.

I have to agree, the DNZ may not be tacti-cool but there are no rings that will get the scope lower on the Tikka. Toss that Barska or sell it for as much as you can get, it may take a few cycles on eBay but it will sell eventually.

You would be better off with a used Leupold VX3 then anything made by Barska. If you are looking for something budget and along the model you currently have the Leupold Mark AR mod1 are decent. Just dont get anything with large windage knobs as you will have difficulty ejecting the 7mag cases.

This is my hunting rifle deer elk ect...... I do some long distance shooting for recreation but my budget would be 600 for a scope not too much more so any suggestions would be great. Thank you for your posts so far
