Time pieces/Watches?

Loving my Casio Gshock Mudmaster. Solar and atomic.
connects to my phone 4x/day for time adjustment, if not able to then goes to the atomic clock. However, after a year, the new privacy agreement in the app now wants all my phone data so screw that. So no longer using the app.
If you like it, good for you. I know people love G-Shocks, but to me they are just the most unattractive watches ever made. I look over the line up every year to see if they've made one that's actually nice to look at just because they have a good reputation for ruggedness. I can never bring myself to buy one. There, I said it! G-Shocks are ugly. Glad I got that off my chest.
I went from an Apple watch that was a gift from the wife (was always a Garmin guy) to an Instinct 2 solar tactical a few months back. Love it. 40 day battery life vs 1 day maybe. LOL
here's what i dont get, and maybe its the function. my buddy was talking up the Tag Huer smart watch. ok, i looked at it, really neat.
one day battery life? NOPE. not a chance. i have an old Garmin Fenix 5.... 2 weeks or more on a charge and Tag cant figure battery life out? BOOOO.
I like that one too but reviews are horrible. I guess they launched it just to get their foot in the smartwatch market’s door and never really followed through with the software updates and enhancements.
My Seiko turtle died today. It had been my daily wear watch the past month or two. I was digging out a stump this morning. The shock was apparently too much for it. I did actually have the thought that it probably wasn't great for my watch as I chopped through a root. At any rate it's stopped running..
I wear a Google watch usually but when I dress up I wear this thing. Not much resale value but I really like the look and having the date is nice.
