I know titanium pins were tried quite a bit with ARs. Nobody that I know makes them anymore because they proved pretty delicate. A blown primer, for example, would destroy the pin. Tubb makes lightweight pins that have aluminum bodies and steel tips. The steel is needed for durability. The complaint about the Tubb pins is they are prone to breakage because they are two pieces.

if you talking about remington firing pins... Callahan makes one that is as good as the Tubb BUT much cheaper...
I usually buy the Callahan firing pin and a Tubb chrome silicone spring for longevity...BUT a lightweight firing pin and STOCK spring work just fine!

***I also like the Holland 700 tirgger spring kit...YOU get a BEEFIER bolt release spring (you don't have to fish up in the stock around the trigger to push the bolt relaease--THISA srping keeps it poking down) and one pound set spring for the 700 trigger housing...a little cermaic stone and these spring and you get a REALY nice trigger...
