Barrel vice, action wrench, torque wrench, and some anti-seize for the threads.
1. Place barrel of barreled action into vice.
2. Place action wrench into the action
3. Remove barrel using torque wrench + action wrench
4. Lightly lubricate tennon threads of barrel that's about to go on with anti-seize
5. Place new barrel in vice, screw action on hand tight
6. Torque action onto barrel to gunsmith spec's (generally ~75-100 ft-lbs)
On a shouldered barrel, headspace will always be the same, unless you go way out of the torque range (even then it probably won't change by much).
There are pre-fits designed to use barrel nuts, like a Savage, where the user is responsible for setting the headspace.
Those used to be the most popular, until action manufacturers started producing actions with tighter tolerances that made shouldered prefits possible.
Hope this helps. If you don't trust that you have the skills however get a gunsmith to do it better safe than sorry, and even then prefits are cheaper to have done than getting one spun up.
Especially if you are going into PRS barrels are consumables, and not having to be out of your rifle for whatever lead time a gunsmith has is a bonus.

run a TL3 in comps. RimX in 22 matches, and origin long action for ELR/hunting

Super simple to swap out barrels. If you can screw a nut on a bolt then you can change one out. You need a barrel vise and a action wrench. You can use a torque wrench but honestly not needed. A little story about when I was visiting one of the most respected rifle builders in the country. I watched them put an action on a barrel using a longer T handled action wrench. They came in until the action touched the barrel, then turned back about half a turn and then slammed them together. I asked about a torque wrench and they said that once the metals meet you aren't going to compress them anymore and it made sense. I have taken off a couple barrels put on by them and they held tight. So basically don;t stress about the torque.
That’s the thing. You don’t have to check headspace. Screw it on and go. I have swapped my Surgeon action from 6.5 to 6 to .308 to .243 and never checked headspace. No need with shouldered barrels. With a Remage with a barrel nut you need to though.
I don't think you can go wrong either way, but I think if you look there are more Impact actions on the Match trails than the rest. At least toward the top... there is something to be said for that. That helped with my decision.
