Me as well, It is just not needed! There could be issues with multiple unknowns with respect to mating surface quality/materials from barrel threads.

I think you meant 65 lb/inIf you go hand tight and start noticing spread in your groups, check those action screws. That happened to me once, and when I checked, my actions screws were finger loose. After that, I torqued them to 65 lb-ft.
I meant inch pounds. **eats another crayon**whoofta. Have to run through 6 or 7 before one would hold up?
Yup, just speak with authority and act if everyone else is a fool to question you......A number of posts in this thread, and quite a few others, reminds me of the old saying:
Not always right, but never in doubt.
It’s known by those who know it.Yup, just speak with authority and act if everyone else is a fool to question you......
Torque values are clearly irrelevant in a wide area of ranges. Pretty sure if tighter was ALWAYS better, it would be a little more known phenomenon.
Personally, I don’t give it a second thought. Just go by the manf recommended value.Yup, just speak with authority and act if everyone else is a fool to question you......

Really, very cryptic indeed! It’s known by those who know it.
I've given multiple examples of those are. If you choose not to read those examples, I can't help you.Really, very cryptic indeed!
And yet those who design actions and serious industry engineers doubt, who would have thunk That said Black Magic does exist right. I will say that if if Tate posts it on the website, I will follow his guidance!I've given multiple examples of those are. If you choose not to read those examples, I can't help you.
Two of those action designers, and serious engineers are actually two of the ones I mentioned. Reading is hard. And yet those who design actions and serious industry engineers doubt, who would have thunk That said Black Magic does exist right
Ever pulled a barrel off a Tikka? And yet those who design actions and serious industry engineers doubt, who would have thunk That said Black Magic does exist right. I will say that if if Tate posts it on the website, I will follow his guidance!
Ever had one that didn’t shoot?Ever pulled a barrel off a Tikka?
Ever even seen one? no to all of the above and you are as annoying as DBD and just as dense.Ever had one that didn’t shoot?
I'm dense?! Ironic.Ever even seen one? no to all of the above and you are as annoying as DBD and just as dense.
You do you. Just know that you're disagreeing with results, and some of the best minds and engineers in the industry.I will end this and agree to disagree
If Old is synonymous with stubborn, then you are.now who is being dense, we don't care!
Would it be better if we all agreed with each other and there were no real discussions or differences ?Wow, supposedly adults arguing and calling each other names on an internet chat board.
Really mature guys.
Sometimes.Would it be better if we all agreed with each other and there were no real discussions or differences ?
Interesting that you think that bolsters your position.... So if I offered AI as an example???Ever pulled a barrel off a Tikka?
AI uses a completely different type of connection, but if you tried to pull one without loosening the locking screw, you’ll generate well over than 100ft/lbs before it turns.Interesting that you think that bolsters your position.... So if I offered AI as an example???
Anyways, as I previously commented, it doesn't really matter
Yes, I'm aware of the AI clamping system. It certainly is different, though I would argue it is not a "torqued" shoulder to reciever to any apprecable degree.AI uses a completely different type of connection, but if you tried to pull one without loosening the locking screw, you’ll generate well over than 100ft/lbs before it turns.
It does matter.
Maybe report him like you do everyone else that does not take your crap ?If Old is synonymous with stubborn, then you are.
I’ve never reported anyone that wasn’t a Chinese bot. That’s your MO. You don’t exist on other forums.Maybe report him like you do everyone else that does not take your crap ?
PS. Please quit stalking me on all the other forums, it is getting very creepy .
