Range Report To VLD in .223 or not?

I have a 26 inch, 8 twist barrel chambered 223 AI. Its screwed on to a Savage target action. I've tried several different bullets of varying weights, 55gr. to 80.5gr. By far the favorites are the Berger 80gr. VLD and the Berger 80.5gr. Fullbore. The performance (accuracy) is astounding for both. Perhaps I'm easily impressed but I've found that I'm willing to call it good and just buy a bunch of one bullet.

Are there significant reasons to chose one of these over the other?

The 80.5's have been much easier to tune and shot slightly flatter than the 80's for my AR single loads. If there is a downside to them I haven't found it yet.
