Just had one delivered the other day.....a $50 cheapy from Amazon.

We have some racoons in the back woods/trash raiding that the kids are all interested in.

My son has been saving dinner bones for a week so we can set a bait pile and get some pictures.

Ill perhaps have something to post soon.

That’s ridiculous. Texas is far from perfect, but they did remove the hunting license requirement when hunting coyotes and hogs this past year.

That animal officially does not exist in the Northeast.

I need to confirm its a legit pic.

Looks like a big cat and a deer to me.

The EPOs will tell you officially it is a house cat and camera phenomenon - "Like sitting 15 feet behind your boar kill to make it loo huge"

but thats a Mountain Lion or Obama is truthful.

even when these things get road killed and the dead cat is there to view they invent stories about it just taking a walk from Colorado.

Missed out on taking this guy a few times last year thinking he was young and broken off. Wish I could have found that spike shed.

@rth1800, I'm assuming by the caliber of deer you have pics of that you hunt in the Midwest somewhere. Some very impressive animals for sure.

    Something repulsive about pigs.
No kidding. I killed #25 for the year the other night, and I still have sounders like that coming around. Unfortunately, it’s all thick forest where I hunt so I rarely get more than 1 or 2 out of a sounder. I started calling them in this year, and that has helped a bit.

I figured by this point in time Id be proudly posting pictures of my yard raccoons but running a trail cam has been the biggest pain in the ass by far.

Thats what happens when you make a snap decision to order from Amazon without doing research.

Camera probably comes from whuhan and contains flu.

    A. Order camera that takes two weeks to get here.

    B. Camera arrives put in batteries, realizes it didnt come with a storage card. WTF? Why sell it without an SD card?

    C. Snap decision order SD card from same Amazon that just fucked you. Get 256 MB card because more storage is better right?

    D. Week and a half later SD card shows up. Plug it in Camera indicates card issue.

    E. Open that book labled "Directions - Read this First" discover SD card size is limited to 32 MB.

Should of just went to Cabelas - except they are closed for Baloney Virus.

This is life under a socialist police state - stuck utilizing the only state approved businesses and now my kid cant get pics of raccoons eating all the bones he has been saving for three weeks. Also dipshit Dad should read directions first.

Probably head to CVS and see if they sell SD cards - Ill get an 8MB card and hope it works.

The camera actually looks like it will be half decent for what we intend to do. Had a BBQ sunday night and the 'coon came out. Kids were excited to see him eating some bread we left in the woods and when we approached he climbed a sapling maple and just sat there at about 12 feet high looking at us while we looked at him.

Finally got my suburban Boston game cam running.

    Lots of these guys.....

    This guy was a surprise......

What call are you using? I use a cheap bluetooth speaker from walmart and have a couple hog noises from primos and some other hunting stuff my wife downloaded for me. Then I have a few devil hog noises. Sounds like piglets getting tortured and the second is adult getting tortured. They are kind of creepy while sitting in the edge of a field by yourself. Haven't had any luck calling yet

I got all the stuff Glenn Guess on the Hog Zombies YouTube channel pushes (Convergent Bullet & Hog Pro app). I probably could’ve done with a cheaper call, and with just the free version of the app. I messsaged him on Facebook, and he was super helpful so I got his stuff. It is a good call. If you see his videos there’s no denying hogs can be called, but the SOB has access to tons of land all over TX & OK, so I’ll never have the success rate he has.
It’s just like calling predators or deer. They have to be close enough to hear the call, and they won’t always respond. You may even scare them off. I have maybe a 1 in 6 or 8 success rate, and for some reason I have only ever brought in boars. I seem to do the best when I’ve already killed ones that came to one of my feeders.
I’ve heard of the pig squeals working, and I’ve seen sows run to a squealing injured pig.
All of the hog calls I’ve used are a bit creepy. I can only imagine what other hunters may be thinking if they hearing them.
Feel free to pm me if you have other questions. I’m new to calling, but still glad to share.

Hoping he made it through the end of the season, and through the winter. Last photo I have of him is 01/02/2020, and he appeared to still be chasing a late doe in early evening. 😮

This year is shaping up well. Got my food plot weed sprayed, added a water hole near my bow stand to tempt them to use my side of the property line more often (unfortunately my neighbor is anti-hunter. Wouldn’t even let me look for shed antlers this spring). Also think I’m gonna try turkey hunting next spring. Never gone before, but there’s a ridiculous amount of them around. Counted 10 in my yard a few days ago.
