I know there are a other threads about trigger pull weight and trg in particular.
I just wanted to add my experience. On Monday I reduced my trigger pull 2nd stage weight to 16 oz. as measured by Timney trigger pull weight measurement tool. 1 stage left at 14 oz.
On Monday and today I had fired about 110 rounds total with no trigger problems. All shoots fired from bench or prone position.
I removed trigger and then removed set screw and small spring. Cleaned setscrew with a die and put back together using a little bit of blue medium strengh loctite. Painted a mark on the setscrew so I could tell if it moved. It had not.
Possibly the reason some people have trouble with the setcrew holding position they set it to is the factory loctite looses it's hold when the setcrew is moved. It then loosens from firing rifle due to shock. When it gets to loose trigger does not function.
