Any recomendations out there for an after market scope rail? Looking at Badger, Warne, EGW and Near. Trying to save a few bucks over the cost of the Sako factory rail. Any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated.Dosn't have to be one of these brands, it's just what I've found so far.

Just order it from Richard. Give him a call and he will answer any of your questions and send it out quickly. Great piece of kit. I have the NEAR on my TRG-22.

No problem sir! I attached a picture of my setup if it helps. I have. Serial #'d set of rings and base from them that was $300. If you order them, make sure your set comes with metric screws and not the standard inch screws my first set came with :-(

Good luck

A little blurry, but you can see the recoil lug at the very back of the base!

Second that. I have one of Richard's base on my TRG 22. The base fits into the four lugs on the top receiver like a glove. Outstanding craftmanship and customer service second to none. Richard's shop is near (no pun intended) my house, 45 mins and I had a chance to stop by his shop, very impressive.

I just looked at the Near web page and they're VERY nice. Not sure it requires 5 lugs to keep the rail from moving forward, but having them would make me feel a little more "warm and fuzzy" inside. Guess it depends on if you think the rail is worth it for the $65. You also get 5 more MOA.
