I have a TRG42 Stealth and it has got a new chassis.
I am extremely satisfied, its definitely nicer than the previous one.
The new chassis are the extentended version, and it comes witha quad rail.
I think that the solution that both Sako and AI have with a bipod infront of the forend is so much better than solutions under the foreend.
The new folder are improved with a higher buttspike, and steadyer solding solution, and an improved buttplate adjustability.
This is definitely better than the previous one, and the folding stock makes the TRG a much nicer weapon to shoot and handle as the stock lenght easaly gets adjusted betwen different positions.
I have about 1,25" longer stock when shooting prone than with other positions, and I expect that everybody really needs a longer stock for prone if everything should be optimized
Of course I have my own scopemount on the guns.
A mount attached directly to the gun, instead of having an extra rail in betwen.
Scopemount with various attachments and built in level.
Extremely good visiability of the Knobs

TRG 42 range report...
Had a 500 yd zero with the 45 MOA base, so to shoot 100 yds, I had to use a 2 mil hold-under. Chronied at ~3000 fps with 250 SMK over 97 gr of H1000, 0.025" from the lands (max length the magazine allowed for). Was only 4.5 mils to 1000 yds.
There was about 5-8 mph wind today, but the bullets hit wherever I put the crosshairs at 1000. Hit the 10 ring (F class) at 1000 3 out of 3 shots.
All in all, the rifle performed excellent. Almost zero recoil with the Near brake, although the concussion was quite violent.

Think it was gunbroker had one, he wanted to have a blue bolt knob so he painted it lol, their site makes it sound like you can't upgrade if you have a black stock.

No prob. I should have actually put up a post on this particular part. This is Sako part # S5740397. It is simply a threaded flush cup with a square base and a female threaded collar. You slide the flush cup into the rail on the side as I did, or you can use the rail on the bottom of the forend. You then screw on the collar and tighten it down very snug. Now you have a flush cup on the forend. Note that the part comes shiny silver, which may not be most peoples' cup of tea. I duracoated mine black.

Does anyone know how to get the bottom rail off the forend? You have to remove all the screws, which isn't a problem, but there is one nut that is on there that I can't get off. I can't fit an open end wrench or socket wrench to get it off.
