I just recently noticed that the different trigger shapes can give a lot of difference in felt trigger pull weight. When I measured 4 different brands of rifles they were all pretty close but one in particular felt like it was very heavy. Maybe this was common knowledge but it was a surprise to me

I started using flat triggers two or three ago. I like the feel and find that by moving finger placement the ‘feel’ can get lighter or heavier. It’s a matter of leverage and length of takeup; farther from the pivot point feels lighter but is an incrementally longer pull.

I seem to shoot pretty good but old bad habits make triggers seem not that important. Just happened to notice on a recent one that it felt like I needed both hands and me feet against something to get the dam thing to go bang. Turned out it was just me not paying attention to where my finger was riding on it. Thought it might be something interesting to bring up.
