If you are using once fired brass for your gas gun is there really any reason to trim it back to minimum length as opposed to just short of max length to save a little bit of trimming. I'm using the same brass over and over until I dispose it and trim between each loading for my gas gun. Out of habit I always trim back to minimum length but it just occurred to me -- what for? Why not just trim back to just short of max. length? Anybody else do this?

If you are going to trim, trim to min length. The reason to trim is to keep the brass from getting longer than the chamber. If you are going to go to the trouble, you may as well get the most out of your effort. After every sizing, measure your brass. If it is getting close to max length, trim it back to min. Otherwise, carry on.
