What say you on the House’s bill for funding the government?
I feel like one can address the national debt or lower individual taxes and it seems like the latter is the priority.

The two are interconnected. It’s a catch 22. If the taxes are reduced it adds to the debt, there simply hasn’t been enough reductions through DOGE to be meaningful and the taxes are required to pay on the increasing debt. The ugly truth is that we are so far in the hole the only way out is some form of default on the debt. It may come in any number of names but it’s all the same with respect to the outcome.

i don't know if that is an actual count or an estimate based on the total number of troops.
according to active duty people, very few if any are actually deployed to combat regions.
I saw that, but those are estimates from an LGBTQ+ activist group, Palm Center, so they have an incentive to lie in order to swing American opinion with false propaganda. The military has not released any such figure, and it is very unclear where Palm Center got those numbers, but everybody in the media seems happy to run with them.

If you read the 2021 link in post # 1775, they mention about 1800, and that comes directly from the military. It may not be all, however, as this is the number on which the military spent money for transgender "medical" services. Also, the vast majority of those are female to male, which mainly consists of very cheap vials of testosterone and syringes. They get their haircuts the same as anybody else. Testosterone, a butch haircut, and in the military, and they think they are dudes.
Only 243 "surgeries," and I am not familiar enough with the process to know whether one person gets multiple surgeries, but I would guess that is true, meaning very, very few military personnel getting transgender surgery. Certainly not 14,000 or 15,000.
Also, if the surgery is expensive, and these folks see a way to get it "for free," that may be a big incentive for them to go into the military to finally "truly be me" or whatever. And even with that incentive, we have so very few out of 2 million service members.
I think the Palm Center numbers are BS propaganda and wishful thinking by LBGTQ+ activists. The more they can pump up those numbers, the more they hope Americans will perceive this as "normal." The Military Times numbers are much closer to revealing the correct numbers.
Note that most of the money spent was for "psychotherapy." That tells me most of what I need to know.

Maybe this is a bit personal for me, but: when I was bed-ridden in the hospital, unable even turn onto my side or hold a cup of water due to (high speed) trauma and a spinal cord injury, I was denied access to steroids to prevent muscle wasting, even though that is a legitimate, on-label use of certain steroids.
But all these child and adult females that think they are men, are able to get prescribed steroids for OFF-LABEL uses related to a mental disorder? And if they join .mil, our taxes pay for it?

I watched this, and I guess my take is different from everybody else.
Here we have the Presidents of two countries present, with the news cameras rolling, and JD Vance, the Vice President, starts to give Zelensky a dressing down and does not even give him a chance to respond. Then Trump piles in on top.
I saw nothing in that video that the Ukrainian President did that was "disrespectful" as others have claimed.
What I saw was theater to put Zelensky on the spot and then make a big show of claiming he was disrespectful, when, frankly, he barely got two utter two complete sentences without being talked over and shouted at and had fingers pointed at him for emphasis like a child. My guess is Trump thinks this is a good negotiating strategy to extract what he wants from Ukraine in natural resources.
To all who are claiming that it was Zelensky who was disrespectful, I can't help but wonder if you even watched the video.

Little Z has been disrespectful to the US from the time he assumed is position. He's looked at us like he was Uncle Sam's trust fund baby. He's talked tough as long as the US and Western Europe had his back.
Recall that Trump, in his first term, wanted $14 Billion for a border wall. The democrats and RINOs said that was too much for protecting the US. Yet, the glorious grifters in our capital haven't hesitated to give Little Z $350 Billion!
