Our healthcare prices are super inflated.
And no where in Europe has near the quality of hospitals or skills like we have here in the US.
I can go on for days about where we can improve after 26 yrs in the business, and its still the best there is.
Especially for the very sick or critically injured.
Coworker (nurse who works in our quality oversite office) recently was on a bike tour in Denmark, crashed and wrecked her knee.
She is more liberal than not and then went on to talk about how awful their system is and how grateful she was to be home and not depending on their system.
Yes our food as a nation is crap.
And so are most if our people who really arent willing to forego some idiot box time (phone or TV) and get out and walk and take the time to make decent food.
See it all around me.

We also seem to think that an orders of magnitude more expensive firearm would protect and save the lives of us + “family + friends + loved ones” instead of a $10 a month gym membership

I can attest to the lack of quality and expedited health care in a country that has socialized/hybrid medical care. I spend 3-6 months living in one of these countries. The waiting times to get any medical procedure that is elective (the gov decides on if it is elective), is over two years for some surgeries (hips, knees, etc...).
My partner has been waiting for over two years to get a cyst removed from her wrist. The city she lives in (over 50K) has one surgeon who handles all those kind of surgeries. You can pay out of pocket and get it done after a wait of about two weeks by that surgeon in their private practice on the side, but it will cost upwards of $15K. The ugly truth is not told by the media that want .gov to be in charge of everything.

He issues his executive order on the Second Amendment. All the MAGA folks go wild, even though it does not actually do anything at all and asks for a review of litigation in the next thirty days with a report from Pam Bondi.
See? They exclaim. President Trump learned from his anti-2A first administration.
30 days runs.
No report.
Nothing.
So did Pam Bondi maybe take a different position from the Biden Administration?
The DOJ did ask the 5th Circuit to hold up for a bit due to the executive order so that the DOJ could determine whether it had a new position on silencers.

I did not really expect anything different, and those of you who were paying attention to Trump during his first administration knew that his campaign talk on the Second Amendment was all BS. Appointing Pam Bondi, though, well, had you been paying attention to her during Trump's first administration, and paying attention to her in Florida during the Biden administration, then you would know that appointing her was the real "tell" on President Trump's Second Amendment views. She did what he did with respect to bump stocks and red flag laws in Florida, except she was successful and successfully defended it as Attorney General. Bump stocks are illegal in Florida even after the US Supreme Court ruled the Trump's executive order to the ATF induced regulation was not consistent with the law.
So the entire Fifth Circuit, reconsidering en banc, is being asked by the Trump administration not to hear the case en banc, because a gun muffler, which is defined as a "firearm" in federal law, is not an arm and therefore worthy of no Second Amendment protection at all. The Trump Administration position is the same as the Biden Administration position.

Yeah, I don't think the Trump ATF is going to be very receptive to those arguments.
So far in 2025:
The 5th Circuit ruled that gun mufflers have zero Second Amendment protection.
The 7th Circuit ruled that SBRs have zero Second Amendment protection (yeah, the regular M4 rifle length, 14.5 inches, is not suitable for a well regulated miltia, I guess).
What else is going to be held to have zero Second Amendment protection?
