Almost no one is watching the USMCA element because it quietly exists only in the background of events. However, pay close attention to the ancillary stories because they will eventually merge with the end of the USMCA and two bilateral trade agreements between the U.S-Canada and the U.S. and Mexico later this year.
NATO funding and Canadian economic independence, and by extension the EU and China, comes into the northern agreement. Border security and Mexican economic independence, and by extension immigration and China, comes into the southern agreement. The strength of MAGAnomic policy flows directly through both.
In the quiet sphere, a few days ago Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, a key player in the trade program, announced sanctions against three Mexican financial organizations that underline the influence of the Mexican cartels and the Mexican government. [Treasury Announcement Here]
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is furious. “The Treasury Department hasn’t provided a single piece of evidence to show that any money laundering was taking place,” she said. “We aren’t going to cover for anyone, there isn’t impunity here. They have to be able to demonstrate that there was actually money laundering, not with words, but with strong evidence.”
Secretary Scott Bessent has provided all of the evidence above in the three orders. However, this U.S. Treasury action is going to cause a massive disruption to the financial system used by Mexican officials to remain in power. This is the key point.
Remember, the Customs and Border Patrol enforcement action in Los Angeles was not about deporting illegal aliens. The origination of the chaos in Los Angeles centered around the ‘customs” aspect of the CBP as they targeted local businesses that were operating as money laundering outfits for drug and human trafficking into the USA.
Again, for emphasis, the subsequent riots that took place in Los Angeles were NOT originated by deportation operations involving ICE; they originated from CBP and FBI operations involving Mexican money laundering. The ICE operations came as an outcome of encounters with illegal aliens who were working inside the Los Angeles businesses that were under investigation.
But wait, it gets better…
As CPB and FBI make moves on the network, not only does Treasury come into play with a follow-up of blocking financial transactions for the money launderers, Secretary of State Marco Rubio comes in to target anyone associated with the process.
Can you see how this is coming together.
The cartels are designated terrorist organizations. The Chinese supply chains are designated as ‘global terrorists.’ The countries that facilitate these transactions are Mexico (primary) and Canada (secondary). This coordinated multi-agency operation directly targeting the heart of the issue… follow the money… ends up as booster fuel for the elimination of the USMCA.
The politicians, bankers, brokers and families of the bankers, brokers and close persons who are identified in the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen) are then subject to visa removals, restrictions and other punitive mechanisms available to the State Dept. This could include President Claudia Sheinbaum herself, if identified as a co-conspirator.
All of this is happening simultaneous to massive drops in the amount of remittances from the USA to Mexico as illegal aliens are trying to avoid any documented paper trail of their personage inside the United States. Tens of billions are being lost.
https://theconservativetreehouse.co...against-mexican-money-launderers/#more-273500China is being hit. The Mexican cartels are being hit. The Mexican government is being hit. The Mexican financial system is being hit. Mexican politicians are being hit. Mexican illegal aliens inside the USA are being hit. Mexican money launderers are being hit…. and by extension all of those who benefit from the funding therein, including the DNC, CIA and corrupt U.S. politicians are at risk.
Follow the money. It’s always about the economics of the thing…
Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosted officials from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda at the State Department for a peace agreement signing ceremony. The 30-year war between Congo and Rwanda is finally coming to an end, thanks in large part to the efforts of Qatar, U.S. President Donald Trump and U.S. Secretary Marco Rubio. WATCH:

In the mind of President Putin, and in the growing awareness of the American electorate, the President of the United States does not control the Intelligence Community. It is entirely possible for the USIC to take America deeper toward war despite the President and people of America not wanting that to happen. Putin is simply prepared for that outcome.
This reality explains a dynamic where President Trump engages with President Putin in an effort to stop the war in Ukraine, yet President Putin continues the war in Ukraine; because ultimately he knows President Trump does not control the elements that facilitate the Ukraine military.
The problem for President Trump is not that this reality exists; the bigger political problem for President Trump is that people are increasingly becoming aware of this reality.
Something needs to change. That something is generally that President Trump has to either: 1. admit publicly he does not control the U.S. Intelligence Community (very ugly); or 2. take control of that intelligence community (even uglier).
For whatever reason you might attribute, the reality of that COVID-19 experience highlighted that the non-pretending tribe within American is in the minority. The pretenders included politicians, healthcare workers, most doctors, police, law enforcement and most Americans (70% vaccinated). END NOTE]
♦ President Trump does not have control over the USIC activity in Ukraine. If he did, he would have been fully aware of the drone strikes against the Russian strategic bomber fleet before it was carried out. By his own admission he did not know.
Prior to the increased attacks, Russian President Vladimir Putin correctly noted that Ukraine does not have the military capability, the satellite communication and guidance systems to continue carrying out strikes deep into Russia. Therefore, from the perspective of Putin, as these strikes continued they were facilitated by NATO. Ergo, NATO was factually attacking Russia, albeit using Ukraine as the proxy for it. Again, Putin with clear eyes on reality.
Now, fast forward to today. The reality is the proxy war, Rubio outlined so eloquently, continues. Simultaneously, neither he nor President Trump has any control over the USIC that is carrying it out. Yet, Secretary Rubio has to sit down with Foreign Minister Lavrov and either (a) be honest, or (b) pretend.
Back to the point – Again, President Trump and Secretary Rubio seem to have two options: 1. Admit their lack of control, or 2. Take control.
♦ The first option is obviously the easiest, admit the President of the United States does not have full control over the U.S. Intelligence Community. However, that comes with severe ramifications.
Flip it. Look at the dynamic from the outside. Imagine Emmanuel Macron or Abdel Fattah al-Sisi saying they no longer have operational control over their intelligence agencies, and those agencies have gone rogue. What would you think of France or Egypt?
Now imagine if the President of the USA made such a statement. How would the world react? What would happen to the dollar? How weak would President Trump look?
♦ Factually, no one knows what “taking control” would look like.
Who exactly would enforce compliance and bring the USIC to heel? Tulsi was burned just nibbling around the edge of it. What would be the reaction from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and more importantly what would be the response from the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; ironically the former silo chaired by Rubio.
https://theconservativetreehouse.co...esident-trump-and-us/comment-page-2/#commentsWould President Donald Trump reach the same fate as President John F Kennedy? Perhaps not, if a very public process was instituted where President Trump said exactly what the situation was. However, that approach simply goes back to point #1.
See the problem?
