I got mixed feelings on this, glad he is out but when it comes to Nukes, everyone knows the rules. HRC needs to be tried for treason and hung, but until that happens the cunt needs to be in jail. No matter what trump does, if he does not lock that bitch up along with half the last admin and anyone above a field agent in the FBI he will be the prime reason we end up in a civil war in the next 20 years. Trump is a lying pussy so far. Sessions is a fellow traveler and is part of the problem.

Not sure I'm glad he's out, but I agree with the rest of that.

Kinda makes me wonder, having listened to his rant about HRC and how 'these rules are in place for people like her', that it might be Trump's response to David Hogg.

I don't think I'd mind a bit if this guy was given all the attention he wanted to go off saying "Yeah, I fucked up and did my time, but it makes me sick that SHE FUCKED UP WAY HARDER and nothing happened to her."

That would be OK, I think.

when i held an active clearance.....i was made clear to me in no uncertain terms, that if i fucked up, that i would be going to jail......

there were rooms where i was not allowed to take a cell phone......there were materials i was not allowed to handle outside the building.......there were projects where i couldnt tell friends and family what i was working on.......there was no ambiguity as to what i could and could not do, they go through the effort to make it all very clear......so none of this "oh i didnt know" BS....

i wish out Govt would take issues of national security a little more seriously.....rather than pardoning those who intentionally put our nation at risk.

That's why I'm not exactly glad this guy is out, and I don't see a reason why he should have been pardoned at all. These things are very clearly laid out. It can take a few hours to know exactly what you can and cannot discuss, but there's rarely a question as to whether or not something specific would be approved or not. Being accepted into a position where you are entrusted with information about, access to, and control of systems that CANNOT be known publicly is no situation where "Oh, I was just being a dumbass, I don't deserve to go to jail" will or should fly.

HOWEVER, going off of what little this guy has shared so far, he accepts that what he did was wrong, he hasn't clearly stated that he did not think his punishment was just, he's appreciative of the pardon, and he could go on to be a big spikey dildo shoved up HRC's ass and retracted briskly.

I figure there's a 13% chance this dude being pardoned could reinvigorate the investigation into the shit HRC was doing, and about a 32% chance he's not going to say anything stupid like 'we need to reform the rules regarding violations of protocols pertaining to information covered by a security clearance'.

Manning is out, our military has lost its leadership under Clinton them the Bush/Obama tag team. Officers cant be trusted, we don’t do background checks anymore, this guys is not the worst, if manning got executed then yes I would say he needs life in jail. Matt is needs to purge all of the slackers and marxists.

Oh fuck, here we go, Jerry is off his meds again. Take the blue pill Jerry......

So... Mr. Mrs. Manning leaked some classified info, got prisoned for it, got commuted by bamby, ran for office, now wants to commit suicide. I get his point there.

Dunno about officerss not being trusted. It probably has something to do with this - Shit subordinates, shit leadership. What came first?

Not doing background checks anymore - dunno about that, but shit like this (and many other examples) makes me think that recruiters don't heavily scrutinize applicants: https://www.thebalance.com/gang-activity-in-the-u-s-military-3354199

This guy took pictures (that he allegedly didn't share) of some shit he knew he shouldn't have taken pictures of, but did anyway.. Not THAT terrible, but he definitely fucked up.

Bradley Manning fucked up in a big way, and probably should have been sentenced to life in prison or executed. He wasn't. He got 35 years, and later got commuted. Really weird turn of events that Adrian Lamo was involved.

And, I totally agree that all marxists should be purged from the military.

Where's the bluepill in that?

Now the Dems are going to say, "see Saucier is out so why should Hillary go to jail". I agree, he shouldn't be pardoned if he did wrong but if Trump was going to pardon him, should have come AFTER Clinton gets indicted, that is if she ever will.

He served his time. Most folks that get pardoned don't deserve it. After trump talked about him on the campaign, I can see where he might feel he owed it to him.

He spent a year in jail, probably sufficient for what he did (as far as I know). I don't know exactly what was in the photo's. If there was something substantial, or if they were photo's intentionally taken of sensitive equipment that were obviously more than innocent "this is where I work" pictures, then he should have remained for a while longer.

From what I remember the area was classified "confidential", so did he do wrong, yes, but is a year adequate, I would say so.

Hillary was a whole different ballgame. I spent most of my career in the SAP and SCI world and you have to document and sign even when you have to shred a piece of paper. Politics aside, what she did with SAP and SCI data, if that was me I'd be in jail for 20+ years for treason. Line 4 and 7 on the SF312 that she had to sign as everyone that handles classified material, states:

4. I have been advised that any breach of this Agreement may result in the termination of any security clearances I hold; removal from
any position of special confidence and trust requiring such clearances; or termination of my employment or other relationships with the
Departments or Agencies that granted my security clearance or clearances. In addition, I have been advised that any unauthorized
disclosure of classified information by me may constitute a violation, or violations, of United States criminal laws, including the
provisions of sections 641, 793, 794, 798, *952 and 1924, title 18, United States Code; *the provisions of section 783(b}, title 50,
United States Code; and the provisions of the Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982. I recognize that nothing in this Agreement
constitutes a waiver by the United States of the right to prosecute me for any statutory violation.

7. I understand that all classified information to which I have access or may obtain access by signing this Agreement is now and will
remain the property of, or under the control of the United States Government unless and until otherwise determined by an authorized
official or final ruling of a court of law. I agree that I shall return all classified materials which have, or may come into my possession or
for which I am responsible because of such access: (a) upon demand by an authorized representative of the United States
Government; (b) upon the conclusion of my employment or other relationship with the Department or Agency that last granted me a
security clearance or that provided me access to classified information; or (c) upon the conclusion of my employment or other
relationship that requires access to classified information. If I do not return such materials upon request, I understand that this may be
a violation of sections 793 and/or 1924, title 18, United States Code, a United States criminal law.
