How is the bolt-stop implemented on the Elisio and Mak tube guns? Is it simply the bolt handle banging into the back of the cutout or is there some alternative mechanism?

Re: Tube gun bolt stop

In tbe MAK, you can put a wooden dowel in the buffer tube to act as the bolt stop. Or you can just let the bolt handle hit the rear of the slot as described above. I originally intended to put a dowell into the tube but never got around to it. Now I don't give it a second thought: a non-issue.

I'm currently having an Eliseo RTS built. I've got to say that the stock is awesome for fit, feel, & function.

I'm having a Pierce action installed into it & it is also super slick. Gotta love the rubber bumber in the back of the stock. No metal to metal noise when opening the bolt fully rearward.

Super slick setup! Can't wait to get it.

Re: Tube gun bolt stop

A traditional bolt stop in a custom action hits the rear face of the locking lug. The MAK stops on the bolt handle: far less critical surface. I'd call that an improvement and hence my comment about it being a non-issue.
