Rifle Scopes Tube suze

What's the advantages of 34 tube vs 30? The larger the bell in scopes the better the light gathering in low conditions. Is it same with larger tubes ?

^^ what he said. There might be someone out there that has more info as to whether there are more advantages but this what what I’ve always been told.

I though larger tube allowed more room for the erector but some nf scopes with a 34mm tube have 120moa of elevation , while my 40mm tube ior has 100 moa elevation , even if its only 20moa elevation more is more . So tube size alone can't be the only thing that the dictates the amount of elevation and the march genesis with the erector on the out side has 200moa or 300 moa of elevation and its only a 34mm tube .

More room for internals and/or can make the thickness of the tube larger for more durability.
