I surprised myself and made an absolutely juicy and delicious turkey this year. Brined it for 3 days prior to cooking, and damn did that bird come out of the oven juicy.

Only the second turkey I've ever made, and it was probably the best and juiciest turkey I've ever had.

Today is mini Thanksgiving.

Going to smoke a chicken on the grill.

I was planning on shoving a beer can in its ass like everyone else does to stand it up but the wife said "Ewww aluminum in your food".

Probably have to go out and by a chicken stand now. If I remember right the Weber ones are made of...........aluminum.

I wonder what she thinks the non shiny All Clad pots she bought are made of.

How does she rationalize her favorite teflon coated frying pans?

Went cheap, went readily available.....Im not going near any big store today.

Combination of both aluminum and teflon.......
 
I use a 16 oz beer can 3/4 full so the chicken is basted with beer while it cooks...lot cheaper and better

The Weber product has a tube space that holds liquid.

I filled it up with brining fluid.

Drippings that I'll be spooning over the meat.
