Sorry, this is Washington State. He'll probably be charged with a misdemeanor, pay a fine, and the Judge will tell him "Don't do it again".
Hell, here people have to steal 6-7 cars before doing jail time. It takes 5 DUI convictions in order to get the drunks into a jail cell.
Homicides often carry sentences measured in "Months" rather than "years".
How do you say "Blue State"? This state is becoming so Blue that California's reputation is at risk.

If he was in his bedroom, or anywhere in his house, he might have a point. In public......
If he's married and the infrequency of hummers is factored in to the case, I say he "gets off" free and clear and the interrupters are forced to jail.

Ever been to the part of Seattle where this occurred? There, this might have been one of he more "normal" sights.
I've lived near Seattle my entire life. I no longer bother to go downtown at night, for that matter even during the day. With traffic here you waste 4-5 hours each day getting there and when you finally get there you have to pay the same as "minimum wage" for parking.
Not to mention that the City's so liberal I'm afraid it might become contagious.
I agree. Interrupting is definitely wrong, judge will probably let them get away with it. Good thing he was armed, hard to run after them in that situation.
