Last fall/winter I gathered parts for a 7WSM build, had it built and melonited. Long story short ... after 1200 rounds of banging my head trying to get it to shoot I decided that it was time to do something different.

I won a Thunder Valley Precision certificate for a muzzle brake install at the Reade Sniper match back in May so I thought while I was going to have Tom do a brake install I might as well take the opportunity to have him rebarrel this rifle with a different barrel.... start over. While it was there, Tom bedded the rifle into a new A5 stock and painted the barreled action.

Here are the pictures of the final product. Tom's attention to detail is second to none and it turned out perfect. He even fixed some of the stock imperfections to ensure the bottom metal and action fit like they were supposed to.

Specs:

Surgeon RSR WSM S/A
Kreiger Heavy Varmint 1:9
3 port Muscle Brake
Surgeon bottom metal
S&B 5-25 p4f mil/mil CCW DT
Spuhr rings
McMillan A-5 with KMW hardware

How does it shoot? Well this group is shots 2-6 after one sighter with ammo that was left over from the previous rifle. I then moved to the 1000 yd target and got a hit after making a couple of guess on dope. Then moved to 1 mile and danced all around the plate. Can't wait to get a tuned load for this rifle.

Re: TVP Built 7WSM

Left over ammo was with the 162 Amax. I am going to try the 175 SMK's and 175 Berger Hybrids to start with. I do have some Copper Creek ammo with 180 Berger Hybrids to try as well.

Re: TVP Built 7WSM

The 180gr Berger Hybrids will knock your socks off. They are just impressive. I was shooting them without any mods out to 1k regularly. Then I had Josh start pointing them and adding the BN coating. It took a mil off my 1k dope and it hits like a ton of bricks. It actually makes my full size AR500 IPSC silhouettes move quite a bit at 1k.

The 162 Amax is good to just mess around at the range or practice inside of 1k. But when you want to go past 1k I would only use the Bergers IMO.

That's good to hear, I hope they end up working in my rifle!
