Two ? about loading for a gas gun.

Re: Two ? about loading for a gas gun.

Anything that promotes reliable feeding/cycling.

Better to FL size rather than NS, some people like to give them an extra thou on the headspace, and obviously make sure the bullets have clearance in the mags.
Some like to crimp the bullets too, but some say it's not necessary.

Also depending on your style of gasser you have to be aware of powder burn and pressure peaks. Like if you're running a M1A/M14 or M1 Garand slower powders are hard on the op rod.

Also in general "hotter" loads are going to speed up the wear on the moving parts.

But honestly I've been loading for M14/M1A's, AR's and Garands for close to 25 years once you get what works like previously said FL resizing and mag length you're ahead of the game

As far as "cheap" plinking bullets in .223 55/62 gr FMJ bulk and .308 145/147 FMJ buy a few brands see what your rifle likes the best and buy in bulk.

If you're plinking you don't have to run it hard or fast you'll save powder, less wear on thew rifle and shoot longer
