I received my GSCI TWS 37 yesterday. It seems well made and durable. It has an Elcan type mount. The sight has 2x digital magnfication. It takes 4 CR 123 batters. I think a rechargable battery pack is available. There is a cord for video out.
I can easily identify horses at 200 yards. It will pick up heat signatures from cattle farther away than my Leica 1000 will range. At around 4 to 500 yards you can identify 4 legged animals. It easily picks up signatures from small birds at 150 yards.
It is a 60Hz unit, but if you pan too quickly it will blur.
I thought the clarity would be better, but I've never handled thermal before.
All in all the TWs 37 is a great unit. I may get the 2.5x magnifier lense. I will try to get pics/video up later.
