The Counter Snipers strike me as odd. I have personally never looked through one, and have heard/read all the negative comments, but figure most of those are just guys bashing them without really knowing much about them.
CS kind of seems like one of those companies that spend more money on propaganda than R&D and then ask a relatively high price hoping that the price will lend credibility to their quality claims. Is this about right? </div></div>

Not in the least bit? What? Not following. I was saying that I believe they are likely pieces of shit and that their marketing plan was to propagandize folks with their advertising and then charge a relatively high price in an attempt to look as if they had a quality product.
As for your review, I believe you. I just dont recall having read any actual reviews. Just always hear guys bashing them as shit, but you cant put much credence into that. I mean, if you just went by what you read online, it would mean that all Leupolds are shit. My experience has proven the contrary.
Bottom line, the CS optics are a pure fraud, apparently
