An associate of mine has approached me inquiring about an AR15 deal he stumbled upon.

The weapon: a complete -

BRP - UHP15 556
Clinton, Maryland

I am not familiar with this brand and couldn't find any info during a basic web search. I do know Beretta previously manufactured some arms in MD before gun legislation forced them to seek alternate sites.

The widow of a non-military man owns the rifle and is selling it for $600 claiming her late husband had over $1000 invested. The deal comes with 1000 rnds and a dozen magazines.

I'm not asking for sale value advice. Only asking has anyone heard of the manufacturer?

Thanks in advance.

Looks to be BRP Corp. now out of Winder, Ga., a Class 3 manufacturer/dealer.
There’s a website but I can't link it right now.

Yeah that's what I've determined also. I speculated that the same reason Beretta moved out of Maryland may have been the reason why this company move to Georgia but the associate of mine is hung up on the location of Clinton Maryland which is stamped on the upper. I told him different parts are made all over and that I would be weary of purchasing a hand-built weapon of which you have no information. Also; personally, I would disregard the value of the ammunition. There's no telling how long it's been loaded in the magazines affecting the strength of the springs not to mention, what kind of ammo is it anyways? With the lack of info - I suggested that he offered $250 and let her talk him up from there but not spend more than $400

Got it. You don't have google?

Anyway, it's made by BRP (they sell all sorts of shit including transferrable MG's). BRP Corp. The UHP-15 is the model and it's "Ultra High Precision", supposedly these cost $300 and are touted as the "finest receivers on the market".

Yes. I do have Google. The associate of mine is adamant that it came from Clinton Maryland because that is what is stamped on the upper receiver. I suggested the manufacturer located in Georgia. So, I was reaching out to the forum not for obvious replys but, info in regards to any manufacturers in under this name located in Clinton Maryland.
