Very nice rifle, I really like the bolt handle. You are making some very tempting rigs!! Any news on your takedown?

Also Do you install that handle on a customer supplied remington?

Thanks Sandbogg, and the CRUX will be showing up here pretty soon.

I can/do install that handle/knob on supplied Remington bolts....

Oddball,
I'd be willing to share a little more detail via e-mail or phone, but there are some details that I won't share. There's a bit more that I do to the receiver and bolt than I've listed here that contributes to how smooth the action operates but not be too tight for field conditions. Give me a call or shoot an e-mail....

I haven't shot through a chrono with this one yet, but if/when the rain let's up a little I can do that and get back to you. Ping me in a few days if you haven't heard from me....

Re: Underground Skunkworks 18" INFIDEL

Is the price the same with the Remmy action. Like the color scheme. When you get close to coating the metal work on the builds let me know. Now if i could only get my hands on a KMW folder for you to build off of i would sleep better at night.

Now that does not look like a rifle that is afraid of a little rain. J/K Mike! Another very nice piece from your shop!

Dan,
If I use a Remington action with the factory bolt, the price is the same. I try to build on less Remington's these days as I have to invest quite a bit more time to get them where they should be for a quality build that I can put my logo on. My Model 911 actions couldn't be a better platform to build on right frm the start.

The typical INFIDEL build will run $2995 without optics, but the one pictured here with all the extra work, tapered bolt, side bolt release, AAC adapter, etc. is $3300.

Thanks Dan and I'll be in touch prior to putting the finish on your builds....

Re: Underground Skunkworks 18" INFIDEL

Mike, I see you have here listed a full bed job on this rifle. How much extra is it. I do not see any mention of it on your web site on the Infidel. Will you do 300 or 7mm WSM builds on those?...Thanks

Dan,
The full bedding is part if the INFIDEL Package and I'll do the INFIDEL in the WSM's....

Mike,

No bullshit, I steal all of your pics and put them into a folder on my desktop so I can go through 'em every once in a while. I love the lines and looks of your work.

I talked to Rescigno today for a while, and he has nothing but praise for you and your work. Awesome stuff man.

Mike and I talk pretty frequently and you'd be hardpressed to find a more down to earth guy. If you ever make to his neck of the woods, make sure he takes you to my favorite Sushi place....

I'll be visiting him in December. Last time I was there, I stayed at his house for a week and he cooked Italian for me ( the guy makes a spicy crab/pasta dinner that's as awesome as his rifles ). I'll bring up the sushi place for sure. Next time you're there, ask him to take you to my favorite taco place ( bring a gun and lots of mags, the indigenous personnel wear colored bandanas ).

Back on topic, what's the wait like on a Infidel build?

I missed out on the spicy crab pasta on the last trip because the schedule was a little tight and I've heard about the taco joint....

The INFIDEL were being cranked out pretty quickly but the backlog has grown a bit....Looking like eight to ten weeks right now....

Thanks PIC....I'm waiting for a few things on your rifle and then the finish work can begin. How did you do at the Challenge?

Re: Underground Skunkworks 18" INFIDEL

Our Team came in 15th out of 40 teams. I got 6th on the sniper shoot which i had to shoot with another shooter who had to use a carbine and he dropped four targets so that brought us down a few. Overal i think i did ok with 6 out of 40.

As always it was a good time at the comp.
