Updated Punch List ?

Is there still anything outstanding? Here is what I fixed, beyond the stuff you cannot see:

1. Fixed the permissions for each user group
2. Change the image upload standards, you have between 2MB and 5MB of space depending on your account (1024x1024)

3. theme changes are being addressed
4. Private forums are being addressed, only the LE Forum is really working.

5. The online training needs the paywall set up and I am gonna contract someone for that because is not right.

I know some individual accounts are broken, is so, email me and include

User Name
Email Associated, and/or new email address
If you need a password change I do a default so give me something and I can fix it.

Without details of your account I will just ignore and/or delete the message

One thing that I miss from the old board is the ability to resize images, either by click-and-drag, or by punching in a pixel number to which to resize.

One thing that did happen is, everyone was reset to a primary user group of Registered, which is the lowest, so if you cannot access something odds are that is the problem. So we can manually change that

Tapatalk does not work with Xenforo 2.0 and honestly, it is not needed if you try it using the phone browser.

They do have a beta but it is breaking the forums in a big way if you look at what everyone says. If they get it to work, it will probably be several months as they just started on Beta with it in January.

But all signs point to, No, it's not working.

I'll second the above. Mobile browsing is actually VERY much improved over the old forums. I don't think Tapatalk is needed for it.

It's amazing how touchy this forum software can be, that is what the problem with vBulletin was, a simple upgrade can break it in a big way.

The phone version of the site now runs rings around any other past mobile iteration, really. If it ain't broke ...

I am gonna change the theme a bit and hopefully, we can do both the dark and light for guys, but I am being very cautious of add-ons.

They should be working on it this week, I am talking to them now

Xenforo 2.0 has a limited supply of what is available and I am being careful not to use a beta version of anything, at times they are less than upfront about the status of these things.

We'll get a light coat of new paint, but after that I just want the ads back and the private / subscription forums set up, gonna stay light and airy to keep the speed up.

I prefer the mobile browser to Tapatalk. It works seamlessly with the other windows I have open on my phone. I just switch in between stuff and don’t have to open a new program to use the Hide. I stopped coming to the forum because Scout didn’t work properly on my phone and Tapatalk was just a pain. I wasn’t mad about the switch, I was only never around because it didn’t work right. So fair warning, I will be around more often with this latest version.

i agree, keep it simple and fast. Tapatalk is ok, but really its very clunky on my ipad. its only strength is the ability to view multiple forums from one location. but id happily keep SH off it means it works better.

Use an image host and link it, I would have to look what you are doing trying to add an attachment, an image and attachments are not the same things. Attachments are limited because you don't want people uploading bad shit. So it sounds like you are doing something wrong. use the Media Section and upload the image then you can share it around the site from within the media center

Jeezus, I was just being a grunt and hitting the "attach files" tab at the bottom like in the past. Let me go see my recruiter after school for GED tutoring. Before this is over the Air Force might accept me.

In all seriousness Jefe, the new software fucking rocks. I'm obviously not a geek and have no idea on the "how" of this shit, but this new platform is FAST. It was even fast to tell me that I can't post a pic by hitting "attach". No fucking around or lagging, it just said NO, politely I might add.

I can't see any links/videos ect. been like that from day one. Have disabled everything on my end an no joy. I'm sure it will get corrected at some point. Today any quote I reply to is on a different page, an it flashes a strange page quick before going to it. Looks like some kind of mod permission page, weird?
