I have several boxes of M852 match ammo from the early 90's and yesterday I was shooting a couple boxes through my new Savage 10 FCP-K.
I was having a issue with a few of the rounds chambering tightly.
I would slide the bolt forward but the bolt was tight in locking up.
This only happened on a few rounds but this concerned me as I am thinking that this could cause wear or damage to the locking lugs of the bolt or barrel.
I did get the bolt closed and this ammo did perform well as I was getting .5 moa groups.
Like I said I have several boxes of this ammo and would like to use it, but don't want to cause a issue with my rifle.
So what do you guys think?
Is M852 OK to be used in a .308 chambered bolt gun?
